Howdy lads. With Johnstone now gone we definately loose some class and polish through the midfield. We still have Davey thank god, even though i continually hear rumours he wants to go back to Adealide. Bruce went down hill in a big way this year in terms of skill, could not hit a target. Just wondering where our skills are going to come from? Pettard looks to hit targets, Yze's always been deadly, Green got a little back this year. We are definately lacking in that department now though! Thoughts?

Green tends to panic a bit, and just boots the crap out of the ball. I think his kicking has worsened throughout his career.

Same with Bruce, although he was never a great kick like Green, but now he can only be described as ordinary.

Yze is only a bit player now, and will most likely sit in the forward line most of the time anyway. I don't think his field kicking is as important to the team as it used to be.

McLean is usually a solid kick, although we did see some silly errors this season. A lot of people tend to think that because he is an 'inside' midfielder that he doesn't have great skills. I think he is usually very composed and reliable with the footy.

McDonald and Jones are only decent kicks at best, but fortunately Jones has plenty of time to improve. It's not their major role anyway, as long as they are under the packs dishing out handballs and tackling opponents then I'll be happy.

Davey is generally a nice kick as well. His accuracy in front of goal needs to become more consistant, but around the ground he gets the job done. Not an exceptional kick, but still pretty good.

Sylvia can also be inaccurate in front of goal, but I think we will really see what his field kicking is like in 2008. Hopefully he gets fitter and moves further up the ground.

Green has a problem with his foot over seasons 2005-2006.
This hampered his kicking style and thats why his kick accuracy went downhill. He said it was much better this year. So I think he'll be back to his best next season.

If we get Palmer in the National draft he is a polished player.

PACE.

We'll get a gun in the draft, Cotchin or Ebert probably.

I know it will probably never happen ,but Daniel Bell on the wing for me would be pretty good ,he has pace and given the time can give out a good disposal. He does play well in the backline too for us .

Bell is too valuable down back to move to the wing. I rate his defence skills better than his disposal and creative skills. Anyone can play on the wing, but quality backmen are hard to find.

one thing i have noticed with belly and it is the only problem i have with him is that his awarness is absolutley shocking. He gets tackled holding the ball from the side more than any player i have ever seen.

Reminds me of a horse who wears blinkers, need to take the blinks off bails!!! Prehaps he just aint got perrifial (?) vision, sure looks like it.
Other than that i love belly

Mate, if you watched this season you would realise that is no longer a problem with Belly.

IMO, the best kicks at the club (Not in order):

Bell
Green
McLean
Davey
Wheatley
CJ

PJ would have to be up there too Taity, he's a beautiful kick for someone his size.
