Who do you think has been Geelong's most improved player so far this season??? We have quite a number of players who are starting to really develop and show what they are capable of... Kent Kingsley and Joel Corey would be the 2 players that have impressed me most so far. Kingsley is leading the AFL goalkicking and is consistantly providing an option on our forward line and Corey is doing well in the midfield, with his skills and decision making improving with every game he plays. :)

So, what does everyone else think?

I voted Kingsley, just ahead of Corey.
Another big improver is Paul "Little Buddha" Chapman.

JubJub,

Most definately!! Paul Chapman is finally starting to show what he is capable of which is great. He's courage and attack on the ball has impressed me, especially over the last 4 or 5 weeks and lets hope he continues in this manner for many years to come!! :)

I voted Scarlett been given some huge tasks this year and come through with flying colours and will even make the All Australian Side.
Kingsley, Harley and Ling also deserve plaudits for their efforts.

And i'm sure if you pose this same question next year Enright, Corey, Wojcinski, Clarke and a few others will figure prominently.

Kingsley for sure.

Scarlett is good, but i don't reckon he's been the biggest improver

I have been very impressed with the above 4 players so far this season. Enright has come back well after being injured against the Kangas in round 3, playing some good footy off half back. He never seems to panic when under pressure.

David Wojcinski has great pace and provides us with some run out of defence. Sometimes, his skills let him down but he's still very young and will only keep getting better.

Joel Corey is starting to develop his skills and decision making and has become an important part of Geelong's midfield this season.

David Clarke is going along ok, getting lots of the ball but still needs to work on his kicking skills.

Kent Kingsley, easily, last year he couldn't kick straight, he was missing goals from 20/30m out, if someone had said to me last year that Kingsley would be a chance for the coleman next year I would have sent them for a check up from the neck up, but he has obviously worked on his kicking over the summer, as well as a few other parts of his game.

Scarlett has become a reliable backman, and will I think improve even more with time. Chappy is a tough nut that we need in the center to assist the skillful young guns in Corey, Enright etc.

I could go on, but I think we should all agree that its a long time since Geelong had such a promising young list, and a coach that is improving every game.

Carrots by a country mile.

He's gone from kicking only 22 goals in 16 games last year to 39 from only 12 games so far this season, and is top of the goalkicking in the AFL.

It's a no-contest.

Kingsley, he's practically lapping the field.

He's leading the league in goal-kicking-- good enough for me. :)

Cheers,
William
