1st step schoolies
then decide whether ur studying or not...
if u r finish ur degree without taking a break
if ur not work hard...otherwise ull get left behind with no degree and not heaps of money as ur mates start working high paying jobs
but most importantly do what feels right and u enjoy mate

Ah wise words of wisdom...Heading off to Byron for schoolies. Apparently yesterday some woman got attacked by a shark there. Looking forward to it!

Didn't Rex Hunt get bashed there?

Storm in a teacup.

All this talk of it being a Great White, anyone see the bite it took out of her board? A Nurse shark at best.

She was milking it for all it was worth. Come back when you face a real shark please.

Take the bus up to Nimbin or drive if you have a car. Its a beautiful drive and more importantly, once you get into town head for the seediest looking local and ask what they have got. You won't be disappointed. ;)

What are you planning to do next year? Uni or a year off?

Planning to go to RMIT to study Journalism or PR. Tell you what, so so so so sick of school I could go insane but I want to get everything over and done with before I slack off.

If I take a year off I don't think I could go back to uni...I'm such a procrastinator:o

What did you guys do or currently doing?

Believe me, if you are not 100% sure of what you want to do career wise take a year off before contemplating Uni (if uni was is on your agenda that is).

Ah, have fun on muckup day, i got owned today (100+ water bombs vs. one person= complete loss of dignity), which was fun. Have a great time on schoolies to, im going to byron next year if all goes well.
If you are thinking about going overseas, besides the usual in london, i heard there's this new student-visa type thing for the US, just brought in recently
have fun

The schools pride is in it's oval. Doesn't even let students walk across it, they have to walk around it outside the confines of lunch and recess. We're planning to pour mounds of bird food all over it....Mmmmm should make for good times

An idea suggested to me was superglue alarm clocks to the bottom of the library tables and set them to all go off at the same time.

MM, you've heard the prank about the three cows painted with 1,2 and 4 yeah? That would make for something interesting...How much does cattle cost these days?

melbournemartin
18th October 2007, 18:37
Yes very funny though I actually heard about it as pigs. The cow one I heard was putting one on the top level of a building. They can't walk downstairs.

About 5-10 years ago at my school some guys locked the front gate. This normally isn't a big issue but their lock was so massive that it couldn't be cut. I think they may have even welded some stuff. Blocked up the roads for ages. Got expelled :p

Geez school pranks have gone soft since my day.

The end of school prank at my school was one fella setting the gymnasium on fire. Had two fire engines turn up and everything. Quite entertaining.

Although I'm not sure the bloke who set the place on fire thought that after the cops came and took him away. Now he's got a criminal record :)

Ahh yes! I heard about the locking of the main gate. It was such a big issue that the Principal of that very good school you go to actually used it as an example in a Committee meeting and said if anything like that happened again, the fires of hell would ascend through the ground.

Anyone heard of the old putting gladwrap on the toilet bowls prank? Makes for messy delights...Or so I'm told

I didn't do schoolies... we couldn't be arsed back then (2000) so we just did a whole heap of pub crawls over a week or so. We had to steal something from each pub as well. Good times.

Just enjoy it though. You will be out and free so make the most of this summer while you can. Then it's on to Uni and no money! :)

Go to uni, drink a lot, shag anything that moves and be depressed that you'll eventually end up as a poor working crunt with nothing to look forward to in life like the rest of us.

Man, you think you're bad, I've wasted my 12 gig usage on watching cartoons and am getting Xbox Live on Sunday (Refused to get it till after exams, I value my future :D ) so I won't get off my arse till the 1st when I'm heading down to Lorne for a week.

I'm leaving for Queensland tomorrow for 2 weeks. During that time I'll leave my computer on downloading games. I'll have a fair collection by the end.

Still at Queensland. Only online at the local Video Ezy to check out the draft (and we did well). Surfers is pretty nuts. Ain't seen any cops get the shite beaten out of them yet by students which is handy. Loaded with cops though, hard to get anything past them (got booze taken off me once already). I didn't realise how young these Queenslanders all are. They are nearly all a year younger than us Victorians so barely any of them can get into pubs/clubs/liquor stores etc. Sucks to be them!

Anyway, back to the booze!

Agree with CaptainDavey, good luck with results to all tomorrow, ****in hell I have to get up at 7:30 so my folks can see my results before they go to work, I'll admit I'm a bit nervous but hey the course I want to get into is 50 odd (About 20 points lower than what it is in Melbourne unis, the course is at La Trobe Bendigo) so I'm not overly shitting myself.

Don't stress mate, sounds like you're a shoe in. I ain't checking mine till about 10.30, I get the feeling the system will be backed up and slow as all buggery. Meanwhile I'm crapping my dacks, so here's hoping all goes well.

If it's a good score, it's going to be an even good night! Haha hit that grog...

Well I'm extremely happy with mine. I was always feeling pretty confident but I still only got about 15 minutes of sleep all night. I was up until 2am watching Sketch Show repeats on Youtube.

How did my fellow year 12 demonites go?
