Both have come forward in the last 24 hours to claim full confidence in WCE and the care they have given their sons since moving from Victoria.
Well done, I hope to shake both of your hands at WCE functions this year.
Maybe we can send them over to Josh Kennedy's grandmas house for a cup of tea.

where did ya hear this? what did they say? We need more of this, we have a few bad eggs and we are all being tarred with the same brush.

Clark was mentioned over here (Melbourne) in one of the papers saying he had full faith in the Eagles administration. To be fair the quote was hidden well away from any scandal and sensation headlines so it was hard to find.
Jan was on KB's program on SEN today and talking of how confident she is with her son not derailing at the Eagles.
I doubt this will be highlighted in any media soon as it is positive eagle talk.
Unlike the multiple articles on Kennedy's grandma.

Spoke to a mate of Will Schofield's from Geelong and when they found out he was getting drafted by West Coast they were thrilled. Still thrilled apparently that he's doing good over here. Very good to hear two parents back it up in the media, although there is no chance someone highlights it.

These parents are legends and their them and others with similar attitudes will provide the heart and soul from which this club recovers.

Also read somewhere (cant remember :confused:) that Cotchins father isnt worried about Trent been drafted by West Coast and that what was said before was taken out of context.

Clark Hansen was on 6pr (yesterday?).
He spoke glowingly of the club and said he was happy Ashley was there. Said that there were 40 odd fantastic kids on the list.
He also said if there were any parents who had kids going to or at West Coast he would be happy to talk to them at any time.
It was nice to hear.:thumbsu:

Brings a smile to my face, i was just waitin for the ones to come forward who knew their sons had the club providing them with good options of accomodation (Mitch brown staying with that family over here), great facilities and also the chance to finish year 12 here for the younger ones.

In the press conference for Cousins sacking Nisbett claimed to the gallery that if we ( the gallery ) were to ask any Eagles parents about the welfare of their son, they would utter nothing but confidence about West Coast.
The Next day Clarke and Schoey's mother come out and sing the praises.
It is all the workings of a failing PR machine.
And I for one will be calling for change.

I used to think Nisbett and co. was the man. Now I've tumbled off the bandwagon
Let's not forget the parents of all our own WA kids. All season they have had to put up with the slur that all the WC are on the drugs. Well, actually most of these kids lead a very boring social life by most teenagers and early 20's standards. Contrary to popular opinion they are not on $2 and $300000 a year. They have training sessions throughout the week. They conduct clinics, school visits and other community activities. Some are studying at Uni, others TAFE and Correspondence. They have no privacy and the highlight of their social life is often a Skinny Decaf at Gloria Jeans.
I think you'll find all parents, no matter where they are from are proud of the success of their boys and take offence at the slur towards them. Sure there will always be the party boys same as in society, but don't lump them all together.
One father, former ABC broadcaster Clark Hansen, whose son Ashley plays for the Eagles, called 6PR.
Hansen, dealing with the question of how a parent would feel having his son drafted by West Coast, told commentator George Grljusich: "George, get them to give me a call. I can tell them there are 38, 39 kids at West Coast who are terrific."

I didn't hear Schofields mother, however Clark Hansen said his piece before the board had sacked Cousins or held a press conference.
Next conspiracy theory please.
