View Full Version : Cousins May not have been drug tested after Mainy's death
Nisbett reckons he had no knowledge of such test.
Even though word at the time was that he had told the ABC he had a test and was cleared.
Interesting times ahead.

Our spin doctors over stepped the mark on this one.

I think its time for the BOD to have a look at the club. Something is not right, the administrators must take responsibility and be sacked or step down. I have had enough. This is a profession organization. Do your ****ing jobs.

I'm going to get critisized for this but I don't mind spin doctoring if it leads to us winning games and relieving pressure on players who are being hounded by the media.

As posted by me in another thread:
This is what I can piece together happened with the Mainy drug test.
Cousins personal doctor is the club doctor. He is the one responsible for the in house drug tests. I think it is likely this doctor claimed Cousins was tested to the WCE management. Hence the reason they say believe he was tested. They do not know he was tested as they were not there. I would say that since their initial statement that they thought he had a drug test, they would have started to be more sure of their statements (as people often are the more they say something), as it appears they changed it to he was tested, rather than we think.
Now I have a strong reason to believe he was not tested. However, I am unsure about the reliability of this information, although I have no reason to doubt it. It is from a good friend of mine who spoke to Cousins (close friend of his) and he claimed he was never tested then, this was around 4 -5 days ago when they spoke.
I would say since the initial claims, further inquiries have been made by Nisbett and co and doubt has been cast on that initial claim. Hence the change in what he was saying. Maybe he was not careful enough in making those initial claims? Who knows?
Anyone hear anything similar? Or different?
Confirmed tonight that he was tested!
Just confirmed on Channel 7 by his doctor that he was tested, and the results came back negative.

Before you swallow the BS from the media, the club doctor was on 6PR and he said he did the test on Cousins because of patient confidentiallty he couldn't tell Nisbett or Barnaba.
Plenty of spin doctoring going on, mainly from the "journalists"
