Just wondering do people think Collingwod can keep up the same level of performance in the second half of the season?

Too soon, methinks, to write off the Magpies...

They only lost in a place where no visiting AFL team has come out alive in 2002... in fact, the only tourists of any code of football to emerge victorious this calendar year has been the Olympic Sharks, and that was in the NSL Grand Final. ;)

They aren't the first to lose at Subiaco this season, and they won't be the last, either. And they still have a good deal of quality within their own ranks, regardless.

Cheers,
William

To play like that and lose by only 11, we'll be alright.

It was probably the worst we've played this year, but we only lost by 11 at a stadium on the other side of the country where no other visiting team has won before. Plus we were due for a downer. No, I don't think the bubble is bursting...... Actually I don't think there is a bubble. We are there on merit, and we will still be there come September.

The questions are going to be asked in the next four weeks - North (big danger game) Geelong (probable win) and two interstate games (pencil in losses) Drop 3 out of 4 and Malthouse has his work cut out for him to get the Pies up again for the run home.

No they won't keep this peformance up. They will make the finals, but will finish in 7th or 8th to be knocked out by West Coast at Subi in the Quarter Final.

I didn't know quarter finals had been introduced to the competition....

The loss to Freo certainly marked an end to something for us. By the end of the match the whole team looked exhausted and flat.

Fortunately we have the bye to recuperate. After the break we face tough harsh North. We'll find out exactly how tough we are in that match. Both the North, and Geelong matches are possible losses for mine, as we have a habit of dropping matches to teams in blue. Adelaide are better this year, so if we lose concentration then this has the makings of a slump.

I reckon we'll beat North in a close one, less than four goals anyway. Adelaide is a winable game as we proved last year, and I'm taking a Geelong mate to the Cats game and he always mozzes the Cats, so that's a win (unless he gets wise and drops out).

I think the next month will show we have what it takes.

Ok a bad performance doesn't mean the end of a season but when it is that bad you have to wonder what is going on at Vic Park.

I'll second that!! :D:D:D

The Magpies' position and rise over the past two seasons, it's a great story this season, don't get me wrong-- but man, oh man, I would love to see a Geelong victory at the 'G on Saturday.

Just to show that the blue-and-white hooped army has arrived as well. :)

Cheers,
William
