That's a rarity ... both Vic clubs in the KNTFL having a win in the same round ... fair enough Ede-Asp have improved over the last few years, but who the Hell's bad enough to get beaten by Kaniva-Serviceton-Lillimur etc etc etc??

Holy Shiite,

You move out of town 20 years ago and they change all the teams??

Sollies, Central, South & West Augusta - yep. The mighty Port Bulldogs was me old side - I was a mean junior colt!

Quorn ???????????? I'll be effed. (must have merged with another Port Augutta side).

Who the eff are the Lions? A combination of Risdon & Props ????

Anyway, thanks for the update. You covered KI & Port Pirie. Get the County Jervois results to see how Cleve are going and I'll marry you!!!

LMAO if nothing else Fatty you have given me a good laugh.

I am almost too hesitant to post these scores for you but I accept if you are female.

Firstly SGL stuff, Yeah the Quorn Wolves joined forces or took over Willsdon Football Club I think about a decade ago.

Yep about the same time Risdon and Proprietory(Props) also merged to become the Pirie Lions so hence now a 7 team competition.

Country Jervois?Well after hours and hours of searching  I found Cleve under the Eastern Eyre Football League so hoping this is what you are after.

This is not last weekend as I couldn't find them but from errr mid Mayish, will hopefully get them for you from next week though.

Kimba District 7.9 defeated Cleve 5.7.
Cowell 14.16 defeated Rudall 6.10.

A side note regarding the SGL:-

There was a controversy raging earlier this year regarding the state of the ground in Quorn (or more to the point, the facilities). Some other clubs (can't remeber which ones) were refusing to play there. There was a lot of pressure on the council to spend some dough to upgrade changerooms etc.

A cynical barstard might suggest that it had more to do with the fact that the Wolves won the flag last year for the first time and looked like doing it again last time I saw a ladder.

The only sad part about that was that Jamie Boles missed out on his first ever flag due to injury! For those who don't know, Jamie has been playing forever (he is about 40). He played some games with North Adelaide back in the Nunan days. If i remeber correctly he kicked 6 off a wing one week and never played for them again! Nunan wanted him to move to Adelaide, Boles didn't want to train all the time and didn't want to leave Port Augusta, so he went back to Willsden (this was before they merged with Quorn). Maybe Wedgie or Grogette remeber him?

The Eastern Eyre league was formed when Kimba and County Jervois merged. Apparently "Doreen" Smith has been running around every now and again for Rudall, which was also the old stamping ground for the Juicer and Nigel Fiegert. The Tractor Chris Prime plays for Ports...a merged Arno Bay/Port Neill team, as does Jason Ramsey who was recently drafted and delisted by Richmond. (I think) Rehnny also came from Arno Bay..might be time for him to head back!! Some good players running around in that comp.

Come on SA Paul, you're only just up the road from Cleve, thought you would be able to find info on that pretty easily...

I also see Whyalla made A Current Affair last night...bright lights come to the Steel town...However I always enjoy seeing Whyalla in the rear view mirror on the way down the coast...
:D :D

I remember Chris Prime hitting 6 sixes in an over in an association game (at Cowell, I think).

Hiya folks. Is it spelt Willsdon or Willsden? Anyone know? I've got Willsden down for about 1998. The team was listed then as 'Quorn-Willsden'.
