I thought that considering "Big Jack" released his thoughts on the Greatest Players at Carlton. That i could release my own personal thoughts.
Carlton's Greatest Players
It is very difficult to line up players over that period and rank them. However after a lot of soul-searching and analysis, I have ranked the following players as the five best I have seen at Carlton.
1) Chris Judd
2) Bryce Gibbs
3) Matthew Krezuer
4) Cameron Cloke
5) Andrew Walker
I know there will be alot of critisicm on my selections. I know that players like Cain Ackland and Lance Whitnall were stiff to miss. However, there is no doubt that all 5 deserve the spots i have given them.
I have done my selections of the best players on the basis of the following six criteria (in no particular order):
Ability to turn a game and win it. This is what champions do.
Consistency. These are the players the coach can rely on every game to do their jobs.
Courage. Players who are strong and fearless at the ball, can hand out some physical pressure when necessary and make others stand tall around them.
Skill. These Players by sheer artistry either create opportunities or convert them.
Big game performers. They can lift in big games and show their best in blockbusters and finals, particularly the Grand Final.
Leadership. Players who can give leadership, both on and off the field, are vital in ensuring that, instead of 22 players on the field, you have a team, all members of which are working for one another all the time, putting their team-mates and the club ahead of their own personal performances.

You must have a set of nuts the size of a Mallee bull to post crap like that.
FFS you have Tambling in your team.
Just sit down and think about that before you type out crap like you just have.

C'mon Greg Miller get over it.
Oh by the way your other anti Carlton threads bombed quite nicely didn't they?
Now Greg get on the phone to any radio station or newspaper and have another sook about Carlton getting Judd.

gibbs is not the second best player at our club and keuzer certainly wont stroll right into third.
Lets go through Richmond's greatest players while we are at it.
1. Jarred Oakley-Nicholls - This bloke has the ability to turn games on its head, playing the hole season down at Coburg we saw the best of JON when he didnt actually touch the ball, his turnovers, poor decisions and ability to jib the contest cannot be beaten in the history of the Richmond football club.
2. Richard Tambling - When out on the field there is no other force like Richard, his ability to be rated so highly yet deliver jack shit really ranks him high on this list.
3. Carl Peterson - Such a superstar this bloke that he lies to the club "im staying up in bendigo for the night and ill meet the team at the ground" yet rocks up 5 minutes before the bounce with JON from melbourne, a gun prospect who couldnt break into the Coburg firsts really sets the tone of a skinny bloke who cant get a kick. Good recruiting Tigers!
4. Joel Bowden - Superstar this bloke, racks up the stats in the backline when there is no one around him, most of his stats are from a kick backwards to stop the momentum of the other side from smashing the tiges.Superstar effort there!
5. Pat Bowden - The hype of this bloke was sure enough to get him into the top 5, the trade from the bulldogs had richmond supporters jumping for joy, after a good first season of being a clone of his brother, he struggled to get a game, mainly playing for cuburg and not having an impact, good trade tigers!

There certainley were a couple of notable admissions.
But as i said, you cant honestly say that Bannister deserves a spot ahead of any of the others.

Woosh.
Nothing against Judd but don't you think you should actually wait until he plays for Carlton before naming him as one of their best? What if he struggles after coming back from his surgery? It's always possible. Sure he's a fantastic player and a star but wait until he actually runs out in the jumper first! :thumbsu:

Round 1 V's Tigers
Cameron Cloke has as many hitouts as the entire Richmond Team
Andrew Walker picks up a brownlow vote
Bryce Gibbs kicks his first goal in his first game and lays as many tackles as any Richmond player.
I see why you rate these guys highly :)
You should educate yourself and watch more games not involving the Tigers
