Just heard on 6pr that past Eagles player Michael Prior has been added to the coaching panel.

Edit: Just found out from the AFL site that he is our new skills coach.

Well, lets all wish him the best and hope he can make a positive impression on our squad.

Beat me to it Lach...

I tend to think of him as a past Bombres player rather than a Weevil. (In fact, referring to him an eagle is akin to still calling M Carr a Saint...)

Nevertheless, was he ever thought of as a "highly skilled" player? Solid performer yes, but skilled? I dunno. I find this appointment more intriguing than the delistings.

He was more of an ex Bomber than ex Eagle. I was a massive fan back in the day :thumbsu:

The east perth colts team were shocked , none of them saw this coming.

But all the best to mikey.

One of Harvey's team mates during the twilight of Harvey's career. Lets hope he's another good asset.

Seems if your a mate of Harveys you get a job, i think i might go down to training one day in an Essendon guernsey and build a friendship with Harvey. Could get myself a gig as fitness adviser of something.

I remember Prior as having very average skills. Strange pick up that one.

Its not such a bad thing though having an Essendon flavor. I think it is better getting all the blokes together that know each other already V successful ex players who have never done anything together

Well 4 then... But seriously is having those guys a bad thing? Id say no. Having some guys around the club who have has success elsewhere will bring a new culture to the club. Hopefully a winning culture.

No its not a bad thing if they are the best people for the job, if its just Harvs looking after some mates then yeah it is a bad thing. I am fully behind Harvs but this call seems very odd.

hmmm, i remember prior having good skills, but i dont know the guy well enough to say whether he is a good addition, i guess time will tell.
i heard a rumour that the dockers wanted woewodin for the job but he took the east freo job putting a spanner in the works.
if skills improve we will be calling it a master stroke so i guess we'll just have to wait and see
