Brizzie boy who has been "secretly" training with Craig Starcevich. Sydney has been able to sign him because he has not been registered to a club during the past three years.

That's an interesting rule.

There is another article somewhere that mentioned he's actually been studying for his Bachelor of Business degree.

That article implies he's a high school drop out (Maccas, Kmart jobs), when he's not.

Grim?

I didn't get that impression Dan. Nothing worth getting upset over anyway, thats for sure.

Sydney officials, who used the same rule to import Irish recruit Tadhg Kennelly, were thankful Orreal spent the year studying a bachelor of business degree rather than playing for a Brisbane club, which could have placed him out of their reach.

Not that it matters to us.

We gotta watch these sneaky Swans people... first Brendan Murphy, and now someone right in our backyard...

Before you know it, one day Jono Brown will wake up in a bed in Sydney and wont know how he got there.

The Lions aren't missing much Daniel, I saw him in the state champs and if he were a steak he'd be considered raw and still mooing.

He could develop into something good but at 18 years old and only 3 games it's a gamble.

I read about this in the Courier Mail today at work... interesting rule.

Huge gamble by Sydney IMO.

Hardly a huge gamble, he is being rookied paying him minimum wage for 2 years, id be surprised if he even plays an AFL game and to be honest so would the swans. Just a punt that wont cost them anything....

Good luck to the kid.

I work at Marist College and the staff there (particularly those involved with footy at the College) are delighted for him.
