I think it is impossible to determine who will be the easybeats next year. If Carlton keep their big 4 (Judd, Fevola, Stevens, Murphy) on the field, then they can play finals while North just made a preliminary final. Given how quickly teams like Port and North turned their fortunes around, right now I would not write any side off from making the 8. Until we have a better idea of form, then there are no easy games.
Is this the Norths that finished in the Top 4 and we split our games with, and the Carlton that had some big signing or other?
A saying about numeracy, small birds and eggs jumps to mind.

You can call games in the first few rounds as easy wins this far out from the 2008 season, let alone some games in the last 5 rounds!
Let alone games against Judd and the team that finished top 4 last year
North Game is a Carrara. Thats not "home"
