For season 2008.

I think the number is six.

So we get sixteen matches on FTA TV. That is a good deal for us. I do not have a link backing this up, but i read in the main board (Although not always a relaible source)

If true, thats good stuff:thumbsu:

Club Pay TV Free TV
Port Adelaide 18 4
Brisbane Lions 16 6
Fremantle 15 7
Adelaide 14 8
Sydney 14 8
West Coast 13 9
Kangaroos 12 10
Melbourne 12 10
Western Bulldogs 12 10
Richmond 11 11
Hawthorn 10 12
Carlton 8 14
Essendon 7 15
St. Kilda 6 16
Geelong 4 18
Collingwood 3 19

This would be from a victorian point of view, as interstate teams get coverage on FTA, even if the game is on Fox footy (most stupidest agreement ever)

If indeed our number is sixteen FTA matches, we should have no problems in securing sponsorship.

Peope can say what they like about our footy club but we've once again been proven to be a team that the FTA networks want to show.

You're right Sainter and all things are pointing to us having a good year which could lead to even more FTA games next year.
Especially since we wont be playing that boring Saints V Hawks crap again anytime soon.

Well now that five interstate Foxtel matches are confirmed, I trust the Club will be on the phone to Foxtel shortly to organise a connection and ensure that fans can watch the games at our Social Club

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect that an AFL club would have a foxtel connection and a decent big screen.

In fact I know it's hard with training times varying significantly but I know I'd appreciate it if the club could connect with its members a little more with club nights on the thursday night and that kind of thing.

Something for the new board to keep in mind.

Pity the day the worm turns on us....

While I'm not really close to the ground, it would be a good idea to get Foxtel put back on. If the club put on a mini family day prior to the match being shown at the club, I'd make the trek across town with the family.

She goes a little feral over the no Foxtel at Moorabbin issue.
