1. Matt Kreuzer- Carlton. Obviously seems to be locked in as the number 1 pick. Ruckman with good skills and is extremely mobile for his size. Relatively good tap work and is a good size and is well developed for a kid of his age. (Ruck). Height: 199cm Weight: 91kg
2. Trent Cotchin- Richmond. Seems to be the best midfielder of the draft, has extremely silky skills. Big part of his game is the ability to use both feet to kick. (Mid). Height: 184cm Weight: 81kg
3. Chris Masten- West Coast. One of W.A's standouts in their successful under 18's championships. He has good work ethic and quick hands. Not the quickest going around but an excellent clearance player. (Mid). Height: 179cm Weight: 80kg
4. Cale Morton- Melbourne. To me Melbourne are likely to pick up Cale as they were generally going to pick up a KPP with pick 4 but since gaining another first rounder they are surely going to pick up a midfielder, although Cale can have the occasional hit up foward. Probably the best skills of the bunch this year. (Mid). Height: 194cm Weight: 79kg
5. Lachie Henderson- Bulldogs. The Bulldogs are surely going to draft for needs this year and pick up the best available KPP at pick 5. Lachie is a genuine CHF with great hands and reads the play extremely well. Relatively good kicking but doubts whether the Bulldogs will pick him or Ben McEvoy up due to Lachie's on-going injury troubles. (Key Foward). Height: 195cm Weight: 90kg
6. Brad Ebert- Essendon. South Australian boy who is a great in and under midfield prospect for Essendon. Great work rate and works hard to win his own ball each time he plays. Good mark of the ball which is important if he is to occasionally sneak foward and kick a goal. (Mid). Height: 187cm Weight: 86kg
7. Rhys Palmer- Fremantle. Freo are likely to pick up one of Rhys Palmer or Chris Masten but to me Rhys is the obvious choice as he is probably the better chance to slide out of the 2.W.A boy that shone in the Championships with great skills and goal kicking ability. (Mid). Height: 180cm Weight: 76kg
8. David Myers- Brisbane. Dashing defender who is also very capable of playing along the wing. His ball skills are fantastic, he can read the play well and wins a lot of the ball. Also has good hands. (Dashing Defender- Wing). Height: 190cm Weight: 85kg
9. Ben McEvoy- St Kilda. Foward who is tall enough to play foward. Perhaps what the Saints are looking for after gaining a quick fix ruckman in Steven King in the trade week, but will think long term. The best asset of his game is undoubtedly is contested marking. Good size and endurance, however, not very quick off the mark. (Ruck-KP Foward). Height: 199cm Weight: 90kg
10. Cyril Rioli- Adelaide. Greatest asset to his game is his pressure. Can't see him being introduced into the midfield so early in his career, maybe because of his lack of endurance. Early on maybe as a defensive foward such as Alwyn Davey. Quick off the mark and also a good user of the ball. (Mid). Height: 178cm Weight: 76kg
11. Tayte Pears- Sydney.CHB for the under 18's competition. Good overhead and has good defensive skills. Good user of the ball with excellent rebound. (Backman). Height: 192cm Weight: 90kg
12. Alex Rance- Hawthorn. Probably the best backman of the bunch in this years draft. Played in my brothers team as a kid and has always been well suited as a backman. Excellent hands, reads the play well, good kicking skills and good pace off the mark. Good attacking backman who has shown he is capable of sneaking foward and kicking a goal or 2. (KP Back). Height: 194cm Weight: 87kg
13. Jarryd Grant- West Coast. Small framed foward who is a more then capable mark. Explosive pace off the mark which will suit the Demons needs. Kicks a lot of goals and averaged something like 3.4 goals a game. Despite his frame he uses his body well. (Key Fwd). Height: 191cm Weight: 77kg
14. Tom Collier- Melbourne. Mobile Defender who has good enough skills and good work rate to play midfield. Whilst in defence he is an excellent rebound player with superb foot skills. Extremely handy player to have. (Key Back- Mid). Height: 192cm Weight: 86kg
15. Addam Maric- Kangaroos. Small foward with an excellent goal sense and is dead eye in front of goal. Kicks a lot of goals and is extremely dangerous if not given the right opponent. Ball skills away from goal are also dangerous. (Small Fwd). Height: 179cm Weight: 80kg
16. Dave Gourdis- Port Adelaide. Strong marking power foward who has relatively good pace for a man of his size. Uses the ball well and also has terrific skills. (Key Fwd). Height: 193cm Weight: 88kg
17. Jack Grimes- Geelong. Good Decision making flanker who isnt blessed with the greatest pace or foot skills. Great leader and should manage well at AFL level. (Flanker). Height: 187cm Weight: 76kg
