View Full Version : Most anticipated game for 2008?

Just wanted to get your thoughts on which game you are most looking forward to in 2008? There are so may to choose from. Will our clash against the Eagles have the same intensity and closeness now that they are without Judd and Cousins? That's a hard one. I guess we will find out once we play them in Rounds 4 and 11.
But the games I am most looking forward to is the Round 14 clash against Collingwood at Telstra Stadium and the reverse clash in Round 21 at the Telstra Dome. We owe them big time after they beat us three times this year. I hate losing to them and I truely hope we turn the tables on them and win both games next year! :thumbsu:

Yeah looking forward to the Collingwood games
Not looking forward to the opening game agaisnt the Saints dont wanna see Schneider in the RED, WHITE & BLACK :(
Another close west coast game would be great
i like games against the hawks for some reason
but i love all home games at the SCG looking forward to those

Im also looking forward the the Magpie games. We need revenge!!
I think you like the Hawk games because we've always beat them these last couple of years, and i see that we always play that attacking style football against them. Back in round 1 2005 and the latest one round 22 and some others too :D

I'm looking forward to round 20 against the Cats, if we win that, then everyone will stop underestimating us. We almost beat them at Skilled Stadium, so I don't see why we can't give them a run for their money at home. We will probably still lose though so I'm not getting my hopes up.

i don't want to see adam schnider in red white and BLACK... either he was always a favourite of myne but wait untill you see mattner i try to watch as much games as i can every round and mattners always a great player to watch runs lines and takes risks whilst having a great kick and a brillent tackle his hands are a little suspect on marking but i should imagine him on the wing hopefully... and we didn't actually beat west coast this year unfortunetly so i have one wish for next year please god let us absolutly bash west coast to the ground both times next year not close matches but very one sided matches that sydney actually win i really want revenge...
i want to beat collinwood as well but would prefer just to beat the eagles :)

As always the game against Carlton.
They tried to put us out of business, so I hate them with a passion. Read up on your history people, should be only one club and one match/set of matches we should look forward to.

Probably round 11 for me. I'll be heading over to Perth for the first time so i'm really looking forward to it.

great point they wanted to play all there AWAY games at sydney and get rid of us as a club all together before collingwood saved us lol maybe we shouldn't hate collingwood and everyone join my crusade in hating west coast :) and hate carlton as well

My most anticipated game for next year is Carlton V Richmond Easter Thursday Twilight. Because its the first game and I just can't wait for some footy again.

Yeh, we're not each others favourite 'people' at the moment either - should be intense.:D Round 7 vs Weagles should be a beauty too.:thumbsu:

The best game will be Rd 1
Few debutantes young fit and ready not like the ageing list
We will get an idea where we are
Lyons to introduce a long kicking play on game and Sydney to play our possesion, stoppages.
We should get beaten easily
Roos quote after the game will be
"I thought the boys played well especially the younger boys. We have a long season ahead of us and sure with the return of ....... & ........ we should get our style of game back on track and look forward to next week"
"We will continue to monitor the list and just take one week at a time"
