make this your avatar, if you're anti Kangaroos moving to Gold Coast.
Saw this on the North Board and thought it was a good idea.
Everyone do this and it will start to catch on hopefully

Yeah I hate the kangaroos but does that mean I want them to move to the GC?
I'd be devastated if Hawks moved to Tassie.
Don't stereotype me by what team I go for.
On behalf of all Anti-GC Roos fans, thanks to all who are taking this on board. As with the Pledge page on the North board, it's worth double when a non-fan takes the initiative to say NO to the Gold Coast.
Thanks again.
Isn't there a board for this?

The thing is, moving to the gold coast may be best for the Roos. I don't see how they can remain in melbourne long term without merging

Problem is that the core market for the Roos is shrinking as industry expands in the area and residential numbers shrink.......would be shovelling good money after bad IMO.

I thought all those old industrial bits of inner Melbourne were getting more residential? North Melbourne, Kensington and Flemington sure looked to be heading in that direction when i was there 3-4 yr ago

No crappy avatar is going to save the GC Kangas - be realistic, if you want to stay in Melbourne - merge - because without the $1.4M the AFL kicks in each year - you will be dead roos - so GC or six feet under - i have not read or heard one viable option that would keep North in Melbourne, so until you can convince anyone otherwise, give up because you are wasting everyones time.

I don't understand how you think
a. NMFC shareholders are just going to gift the shares to the members
b. How pledging 11000 dollars is going to save or fill the breach of the millions required to keep north going.
c. How a lawyer is going to help you when you have no rights to the club or voting capacity in club decisions...
To me your just fishing without hooks and need to either embrace the move or watch your club die...
I'm sure the AFL will change their minds when they see everyone using these avatars.

Give it up - where is this viable option to stay in Melbourne? Obvious you don't have one and the AFL can see that clear as day - if you can't stand on your own two feet - get out - the comp is not a friggin charity case, so unless one Kanga lists some sort of viable option, i will keep posting comments every day to the effect because all you Kangas are living in Dreamworld - Oh wait, that will actually be down the road when you move:thumbsu:

No problem - but you still haven't presented a viable option. Mate I supported Fitzroy for 17 years - saw us rattling cans etc etc - it doesn't work - so i am a realist and love the fact that we merged with Brisbane and re-located beacuse every year we became a bigger and bigger joke (both on and off the field) - ala the modern day Kangaroos - Unless you were old enough to witness Fitzroy's demise or until you face reality or provide an adequate framework to stay in Melbourne of a viable option, then why should people care - Melbourne Lions are living proof it is not the end of the world - so give me your viability plan and i may support your cause, but until then you are all blowing smoke up everyone's arses!
Not one person can provide a link or anything to prove how/why you can remain economically viable in Melbourne? Why. because you have none, so do that for me Applecross or outline your plan. I am waiting!
