Whilst the majority of North Melbourne supporters are against relocation to the Gold Coast (many on the grounds that such a move is suicide) it is no surprise that there are still some fans who believe relocation to be 'inevitable'.

It is also no surprise that many non-North football followers buy into this 'inevitability', as these people are less likely to look into the facts, but instead simply believe whatever they read or hear in the mass media.

Why is it no surprise? Take a look at just how often this 'inevitability' is drummed into the heads of the public. Caroline Wilson has written no less that two dozen articles in which she has claimed all manner of things, over and over, about North Melbourne's supposed relocation plans, including

*The relocation is a 'certain' thing,

*North Melbourne Board members are 'resigned' to relocation.

*Arden Street redevelopments are a 'pipe-dream'

*North Melbourne has 'lurched from crisis to catastrophe' over the years and 'boasts hopelessly low profile and poor market brand'

*The AFL is 'ploughing $9.6 Million annually into the Kangaroos'

*'The move North would guarantee the club's shoestring administration untold AFL assistance, ultimately vastly improved facilities, a warmer climate and - potentially - draft concessions'

The list goes on and on. Every time she mentions North it is to paint us in a negative light. She rarely refers to the Gold Coast without claiming that it is 'certain' or 'inevitable'. She never quotes her sources and rarely even names any names when making her ridiculous claims. She continues this charade on radio and on television.

Knowing this we can see why so many people still, despite all of the relevant facts and figures pointing to the contrary, believe that a Gold Coast relocation would be a 'good' thing for North Melbourne and that it is 'inevitable'. It is because clowns like Caroline Wilson, who are little more than propagandists for the AFL, continually try to drum it into the football public's heads.

To those of you who still believe relocation is a 'good' and 'inevitable' thing, or that we are destined for 'ruin' if we stay in Melbourne- don't be ashamed. You have been manipulated by Caro and Co., along with many others. But the Truth is spreading, and the propagandists like Caroline Wilson are slowly being shown to be the true AFL whores they are.

For an insight into how the AFL and Wilson have worked with one another in trying to influence the public's perceptions, see http://www.goldcoasttruth.org/propagandahowandwhy.html

Or, for a compilation of Wilson quotes from her numerous pieces of 'journalism', see http://www.goldcoasttruth.org/propagandacarolinewilson.html

The ghost of Alf Brown must be crying to see people like that ruining the once grand occupation of 'Football writer'

She's absolutely full of shit.

She even polluted a story about Archies 300th on the eve of the game with more Carey/Stevens crap. It was after reading this article that I retired the Age subscription and even rated Rob Walls a better writer (I know, now I've really lost the plot)

Hang her from a rope from the NM Town Hall and let's all go and throw stones. Fck1ng Mole!

Interestingly, the Gold Coast Truth site doesn't mention that the Roos are currently $4m dollars in debt.

A bit of spinning there as well?

It doesn't need to- Caro and Co do that more or less every week.

GoldCoastTruth.org is there to present the facts that the mass media continually fails to address.

But if you want to read about all the stuff you and everybody else already know (as well as a whole heap of completely fabricated krap you've probably heard before), be sure to catch the Age over the next few days. Caro will take care of everything.

I understand that the AFL want the Roos to move and that Caro is a bit of a mouthpiece for the AFL BUT.....

Roos fans focusing on shifting the blame away from their own supporters who won't spend some $$$ and become members is a waste of time. Get your supporters to join up and attend games!!!

Once all this done and settled, I will be taking up the matter of Wilson's appalling journalism.

I work as a journalist and if I operated like this, my editor would kick my hole.

I'm thinking Mediawatch or Crikey.com.au for starters.

*no trolling*

media watch have very little respect for sport journalism. 3AW and channel 9 stitched up the melbourne victory last year with one of the worst cases of faking a "witness to a riot" you could ever imagine and despite hundreds of e-mails to media watch they didn't go near it.

it would have been an easy knock against 3AW too - the general manager made personal threats against a run-of-the-mil victory fan simply for sending the station an e-mail of complaint

This is true, but Wilson likes to dress herself up as a serious 'political' sports reporter.
