Gee this won't get a heap of negative replies form North fans, as well as a bunch of neutral supporters... oh look here is your first.
What unimaginative twaddle this is.
Coming from a Swans fan this is a bit rich as well... look into your own history before you start to take pot shots at North.
North may just get to stick in Melbourne and stay alive as North.... South ceased to exist in the 80's.

They do have a choice actually. It is up to the supporters of the North Melbourne Football Club. If they can gather suport, a stable and reasonable Membership base that can sustain them they will become viable again.
My team was a basket case set to be kiled off just over 10 years ago. We dug ourselves out and now are financialy secure, not a giant, but the days of dying are well behind us. North should be given the same chance Hawthorn was, otherwise North fans will scream (and justifiably so) favouratism.
Nothing rallies support like potential extinction..... just ask Don Scott.

We have every right to stay in Melbourne and you will see us fight to death. Id rather see us given a chance then take the easy way out. Our 140 yrs of history is about doing it the hard way and we will continue to do it the hard way.

Does the OP actually like footy? Taking the piss out of the situation doesn't really show must respect for the history and tradition of the game of which the North Melbourne Football Club is a big part.
Especially rich coming from a Swans supporter who would have enjoyed the support of huge number of Victorians in 05 and 06 because of the South Melbourne connection.
A Swans AFL fan? a dichotomy in itself. I live in Sydney and the two terms are mutually exclusive.
Couldn't agree more Giantroo. We aren't going anywhere- this years membership numbers are not a reflection of our true support. This will be proven.....
