EX-HAWTHORN ruckman Doug Scott will line up with GFL elimination finalist Newtown & Chilwell next season.
The 193cm big man comes to the Eagles after winning the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League best and fairest with 20 votes this year after enjoying a stellar season with Karingal.
He previously spent two years on Hawthorn's senior list, but didn't play an AFL match after suffering a serious leg injury during his first pre-season in 2004.
Instead, he played mostly with the Hawks' VFL affiliate Box Hill.
Scott moved to the Geelong region three months ago to work at Quiksilver and struck up an affinity with the Eagles earlier this year when he trained with the club.
The club is ecstatic about Scott's arrival, which comes as the Eagles continue to work to secure a host of quality players for 2008.
