What's the rush?
Its 2008. They want 2 years lead time to set the club up. They need something in place next few months... minimum middle of next year if they want to hit 2010.

One way or another there will be a new team on the Gold Coast in 2010. The AFL needs to know soon whether it will be the Kangaroos or a new team.
