All this power has obviously gone to his big head (sorry, can't say fat - thats rude and I will get carded).
I thought he and his cronies were supposed to be servants of the game, instead of tin pot dictators throwing their weight around, making things up as they went.
They are 5 years too late in their planning for expansion of the game.
The advent (sorry big word for Dawks trolls) of the Titans and GC Blazers and now the A League has got their knickers in a twist.
Has the commission got any guts to sack their CEO and let him retire to the Gold Coast.
Maybe Kenneth and Eddie can get the ball rolling.
They need to appoint a proper administrator, someone who has an IQ greater than his girth?

Agreed. It is time for Vlad to go.

Wayne Jackson is a distant, happy memory of green grass and bright, warm sunshine compared to the darkness of the scourge of today.

Couldn't agree more, since Vlad has been the fearless leader of AFL, the comp has seen record attendances, record ratings, record sponsorship and record income.

Vlad is such a loser!!

Because football is all about record ratings, sponsorships, and income?

True, these are very important things. But these things should support the AFL, not be the sole aim of it.

Domination of Australia is a cause I can drink to, but not at the expense of the heart and soul of this great game.

No, they have been around for decades. But hey why not blame Vlad!

No, I blame Leigh Matthews for that.

Now back to the topic at hand.
The AFL has survived in spite of the madman not because of him.
I think Vlad has to go join Ben in Malibu for some rehab. he must be on something to explain his incompetence.

And would this planning for expansion include a team on the Gold Coast?
If so, in what form?
And if not where would this expansion have occurred?

The 'unlisted' Kangaroos has a good ring to it.

If sydney were threatened with relocation wouldn't you fight tooth a nail to save them?

As a Collingwood supporter yes I would fight. But if it were Collingwood being requested to ship out it would not be through the fault of the current AFL president, it would be through the fault of the clubs management in areas of marketing over a number of years.

Brayshaw said it was time for the Kangaroos to roll up their sleeves and make it work.

"I am all for saying, let's get the governance right, let's get the management right and let's have a full-on go at making it work. Surely after 130 years that's worth doing.

why should he get the boot? because he doesnt want arguably the biggest company in Australia to continually hand out money to a club which struggles to do anything on their own?

Hell, Roo fans are even asking non-roo supporters to buy a membership.

Demetriou acts at the behest of the AFL commission. Perhaps there should be some criticism of the North Melbourne relocation proposal directed their way. If the Commission wanted to take action to assist North Melbourne to continue as a Melbourne based stand-alone entity, then they could instruct Andrew Demetriou to take the appropriate action that would see that occur.

Current membership of the Commission is:

- Mike Fitzpatrick (appointed Commissioner 1993, Chairman 2005) - former Carlton player
- Colin Carter OAM (appointed 1993) – former St Kilda player
- Bill Kelty (1998) – South Australian
- Chris Langford (1999) – former Hawthorn player
- Graeme John AO (2000) – former player and president of South Melbourne.
- Bob Hammond AM (2001) – South Australian, former Adelaide Crows Chairman
- Samantha Mostyn (2005) – Sydney resident

The power rests with the AFL commision not just Demetriou.
Sack Demetriou he gets replaced, nothing changes re: Gold Coast relocation.
North would need for the commision to be replaced to stop AFL moves for their relocation.

Terminating AD will not stop the AFL's push into the Gold Coast.
The Commission want to go there and it will be NM or a 17th Club.
Either way NM go under

demetriou is finally about to make a hard decision on both cousins and kangaroos football club and is showing no signs of taking the easy way out. he's improving. he's still a tyrant ignorant pig-headed fuehrer but he's improving.
