Well my battle against the corporate juggernaut ripping off unsuspecting everyday people has just been settled and I WON!!!!

Those bastards at Jamba GMBH have buckeld under the sustained pressure, cunning intellect and superior knowledge of the law from one Dyslexic Emo and have decided that they just cannot keep going as they are unable towin in this situation and have sent me a very nice cheque as my compensation and possibly to keep me quiet.

Those scumbags are one of those parasitic companys that send you text messages at $5 a pop and keep sending them until you dial some number or something. Anyway, after a David Vs Goliath style battle I can now say that Good has triumphed and they have re-imbursed me for all they illegally aqquired from me.

Those bottom feeders somehow got my mobile number and started sending me texts informing me of random information such as 'Get 10% off the latest Delta ringtone' and so and so. Then when it came time for a very drunk DE to do the end of night booty call, I was shocked to find that I had no credit, and what was even weirder is that I had just recharged no more than 2 days before and yet to even make a call. So no call for DE which made for a very angry DE.

So after finding out who took my Credit and a phonecall to these phone credit vampires I managed to tell them where to go and where to send my money which they so deviously managed to get hold of without my knowledge and to my surprise they did. So two weeks later and I now I have a momento of the day that I took on this worldwide business of evil and won.

Next on the agenda for DE while i'm running hot.....Bloody Smart Riders sneakily taking 1 cent here and 2 cents there when you damn well know that a ticket doesn't cost 51 cents.

Something needs to be done people. All this technology is just creating a way for scrupulous companies to boost profits by illegally overcharging in the hiope that no one will notice.

The Notice is out. I am watching you now Mr Smart Rider

What phone company are you with?

I remember when I first got a phone, back in 04 (year 10, worst year to be given a phone :p) I went with Telstra prepaid. I remember saving up for weeks to buy credit, just so I could vote for Ash and Amanda in My Resturant Rules :D. Well, I got credit, voted once and it told me it didn't go through, so I tried again, and once again it said to try again later. I checked my balance before I went to bed (was around 13.00, could only afford 15 bucks back in those days :p) and woke up the next morning to only have 8 bucks left. The entries for the voting had closed the night before at midnight, so 10 over here, so by around 9 I had given up. We rang Telstra, after my credit disappearing even after having my phone switched off for a few hours, and they said I had been sending these messages all night and all day. Considering the competition had closed the night before, I was 100% sure I hadn't sent anymore. Told the bastards to get stuffed and snapped my simcard.

As for 3, well, my phone bill for the month is $450 after being informed AFTER I had turned on International Roaming that it wasn't part of my cap. I'm actually going to try fight them on this one, mainly because the bastards sent me a text msg to contact them urgently (another ploy to get more money off me :p) and even after my friend rang them and paid $200 even though the bill isn't due til next month, they cancelled my service! My friend rang them back and abused the shit out of them, saying I had no way of contacting anyone if something happened over there, to which they said that I'd be fine...

I doubt I'll get out of paying it, but it's worth a try.

Well done on winning your battle :D:thumbsu:

That sucks:thumbsd: telephone companies are bastard coated bastards filled with bastard centers.

I'm with Vodafone pre-paid. Good thing about them is during uni I can go the normal pre-paid where I get the usual 3 months before the credit expires but as soon as holidays come i'm straight on to the maxi cap ones which onyl give you a month until it expires but that's never a problem.

But my problem wasn't with the phone company it was from an actual business that makes it's money by sensding text's to people at a premiun price without their knowledge. In fact Vodafone were very supportive throughout the whole thing so I can really fault them in this instance.
