I would be devastated. Sure he was a champ, but i don't think he should go to Geelong. I know everything is all rumour, but they say Geelong would have the money and the need, but i just hope he doesn't go to Geelong...
Anyway, he can go to Brisbane, and we'll have Akermanis :)

They won't go for him.I think Brian Cook said they asked the players about Carey & a lot of them said they don't want him there.

He can come as a tourist-- but no way would we want him to stay...
Having Carey on the team would totally screw the chemistry of the squad as well as disrupt the youth movement Thompson's got happening right now.
And not to mention the media circus that he would bring with him...
No way. His presence might set the GFC back two or three years.
Cheers,
William

I agree totally with that statement. Geelong are developing a great culture and team spirit at the moment with their young group of players, and bringing someone in such as Wayne Carey would be a terrible mistake in my opinion!! I'm glad they went around to the players and asked for their imput.
Go Cats!!

They can say goodbye to my money if they decide to get him.
Anyway, aren't the club cutting back on player payments, so by getting Carey would boost the salary cap, something they don't want to do.
And with the great bunch of kids we have, getting Carey would just totally mess up the good work we have done with them this year. He is no longer a role model, and I wouldn't want someone like him as a player the kids look up to.
