Absolute gun.

Retired prematurely IMO - with Cousins, Judd, Chick, Sampi and Morton all departing as well, his experience and level head around the club would have been handy in 2008.

He would have set a great example to the young guys we have coming through that even without the silky skills of players like Fletcher, you can still forge a successful AFL career through hard work and dedication.

Rojo was often the one handballing the ball out to Judd on the burst toward goal - Juddy won't get that service at Carltank. Maybe Pratt has done a paperbag deal to secretly pick up Rojo in the PSD.

If you think I'm over emphasisng Rojo's influence consider that had GB not arbitrarily ignored the overwhelming public vote in favour of it, this board would have been named after him.

No other player past or present was considered (Except Woosh but that was only because he's the coach now so he doesn't count). Think about that for a moment.

Rojo - under valued and under appreciated. Whoever gets the #18 in 2008 should pause to contemplate the greatness of the man that last wore the now famous number.

All i can say is

" ball loose in the middle of the ground, two swans converging on it..... HERES ROJO*!!!!! holds up the ball, shrugs a tackle, still holds it up, eagles players begin to arrive in support, GETS OUT THE HANDBALL.... AND THE EAGLES ARE AWAY!!!!"

Great moment which emphasised what he does best. He barely had control of it yet he held up the ball for ages with two swans going for it, manages to get the ball to a team mate who had better skills and more talent.

Good player who i think will be missed without everybody quite knowing what they are missing.

* may or may not have called him ROJO

The fact a thread about Rojo went unposted for nearly a month and a half disgusts me.

What a deadset ledge of WCE he is
