I apologise if this has already been posted but here is a bulletin Scott posted yesterday. Doesnt sound like he likes Craigy

Date: 14 Nov 2007 4:31 PM
Subject: In reply to all the comments and messages I have recieved
Body: Sorry guys, but I did what I had to do... It's just not stable getting a one year contract, I have a family to support now and I need to be at a club that can offer me longer contract, as a reassurance to the family.

Craigy's made some SHOCKING choices the last couple months and I don't think they are the 'best' for the team, but hey, he's the coach right? I'm really thankful to all the Crows supporters that will still support me wherever I may end up, I really appreciate it guys! :-)

Fair go, the bloke is 29 next month, and what's wrong with anyone having a website?

to be fair to the guy, irrelevant to if that message is actually from him or not, i reckon he deserved a 2 year contract - especially since he wanted the 2nd year to be incentive based on performance of the first year (i.e he had to achieve certain things to be able to get the 2nd year )

after delisting torney, perrie, pffeifer, bode and trading away mattner, hudson, meesen - it is baffling they wouldn't offer your leading goal kicker a 2 years contract:confused:

Well done Scott, its good that you took your frustration out on the club. I will always support you as a player because of the things you did with the club. Hopefully you'll go to back to the Kangaroos where you started you career and won a premiership medal.

Me as a supporter is also on the verge on giving up on this club but I really don't want to do it. Its hard, losing that 2006 prelim final was so gut wrenching for me as well. Its so hard to recover from something like this.

Try losing the Grand Final by 119 points...

Try losing the Grand Final by 119 points...

That would have sucked, but being in front for pretty much the entire game and then losing it in the last quarter only to come back late in the game a 2nd year in a row kind of sucked.

Out of the billion fake AFL myspace page, Welshes seems like on of the ones that could possibly be real. Probably fake though

Probably because your name isn't Scott. Seriously though, people are allowed to have nicknames or whatever. I'm sure you have one and if you don't then maybe you just don't have any friends or whatever. 28/29 isn't exactly and age doesn't really matter anyway. I can't see what different it makes.

Apologies to all the "Scotty" lovers out there....

Never heard of grown male being referred to as "Scotty"

Sounds like something you grow out of around 10.

Ricky is bit different. But who am I to judge.

Have you ever played footy at a genuine footy club?

It's mandatory to attach a "y" onto the end of every name that can take it. Reidy always refers to him as Scotty Welsh and so would all the other players.

My son Scott has never been called anything but Scotty by his coaches and team-mates when playing football - from U/9's to senior footy.

Don't rule the legitimacy of it being Scott Welsh because he called himself Scotty - it could well be him.

Exactly. Played footy with quite a few Scott's and we always called them Scotty. Its amazing what you can put a Y on the end of. :)

Get over it. The bloke can call himself whatever he wants.

I think it's genuine as the profile is private. I have three Dockers players on my myspace and they're for real having spoken to them personally.

I know things like myspace and facebook are seen as something for kids but I've found it useful for keeping up with friends.

definately not him, its obvious if you read the page, unless he has the brain of a 12 year old.. gosh! theyre all fake for christ sakes, all their pictures are official club ones & ones posing with fans who have sent it to that page gullably thinking it is actually him.. you can easily tell if they're genuine or not, scott welsh's one is not.

the only genuine crow i've found on there is James Sellar & he denied me haha
and then theres danyle pierce's page on his strange barely legal wedding, adam thomson, ryan willits and many other port players who'd rather gossip & comment each others queer photos ythan try and get a game hehe ;)

fair enough, never thought of it in that way...

From the couple of time I ahve spoken to him he does not seem to be the smartest guy in the world so the site could well be his own.

Yep, its kind of obvious its not him! There are couple that are real, John Meesen's, van Berlo's, Kurt Tippett's, Luke Jericho's, Taylor Walker's ;) etc.

Notice they are all young.

I would say most people under 21 now have a myspace.

I ahve an account but cant be stuffed editing it. Dont even know the address. Bigfooty and blowing people up on Call of Duty takes up most of my PC time.
