Local lad and cult hero, Hunter, drafted no. 29 in the 1999 draft, is the ultimate swingman. Dubbed Mr Fix-it, Hunter has the uncanny ability to play as a forward or backman and is often called upon to do so several times in the one game. Usually starting in defense as a key CHB, Hunter often gets the big jobs of star CHF's in the competition. His size (190cm) and strength make Adam a huge asset, as is will to keep running. He often punishes a forward by running up the ground and kicking goals. His kicking action is unorthodox, however very accurate and he has been called upon to fix a non-firing forward line in a match on many occasions. Also known to take a pack mark, Hunter will be remembered for many things (from his haircut, to his heroics vs Geelong in 2006 with the comeback match and 2006 demolition of Christ Grant in the Semi-final) however he kicked the last goal of the 2006 grand final to seal an Eagles victory, perhaps his most important of all time. A suprising 2nd in the best and fairest count in 2007, Hunter arguably had a better 2006. Either way, Hunter is a key ingredient in the Eagles 2008 finals campeign.
