why would we draft MJ back.
Stuffed if i know, we probably wouldn't. I just put it there because in a the other threads a few people were suggesting it so i just thought id put it in there so nobody misses out on who they want to vote for.

I put the Mark Johnson dropping in the same basket as the Hardwick let go - A mistake. I'm voting Johno even though he will not get picked up by us.

I voted Ryley Dunn because he never really got a chance before and I think he could be good at Essendon.

I wonder if Knights delisted MJ on purpase, only to redraft him?
If it happened then somethings definitly going on.
NOT SAYING ITS GOING TO HAPPEN, but it would be funny if he did.

I would rather take a punt on another ruckman or something then take MJ back. Undisciplined, slow, not the MJ that we used to love unfortunately. Can not play back, forward we do not need him with much better players in Lovett, Davey, Monfries, Jetta, Dempsey moving through the forward line.

....... then let him train at a team we haven't beaten in 6 years. Then re-draft him. It's all coming together now.

I'd love to have Sampi with us. He's only 23. I reckon it'd be great seeing him taking his speckies and kicking goals.

Didn't he retire, I don't think he would want to play anymore.

No. He's been deregistered for 12 months.

The way I read it is that he can play for Bendigo for 08 and train with the seniors and then join the senior team in 09.I would hate for him to change the culture at our club, "No drugs for the Bombers, we don't need the sort of culture". We don't want to be the next West Coast, Collingwood or Carlton (I won't mention the hawkers).

Where is the Kepler Bradley option? :D
I would rather play one short then have him back on our list!
Sir Bomber
20 Nov 2007, 11:08
Kepler Bradley is going to Freo, and I agree he is not the sharpest tool in he shed.
I would have gone Pfeiffer, or Batsanis.
Except I was late and Batsanis wasn't listed.
Personally, I'd consider Dunn or McConnell for the rookie drafts. Both I believe are barely eligible, both are talented, both plagued by injuries. Give them one year to prove themselves without giving a senior spot to guys who've been injury plagued.
Non Essendon votes removed from totals ( 1 only )

Damian Hardwick was one of the best defenders in the game when we lost him.
Mark Johnson could barely get a game for us and was running around in circles by the end of last year.
I hardly see how they could be in the same basket.

Can anyone give me some information on Phieffer? I'm haven't seen him play.
What sort of player he is,
was it back stress fractures he had?
likelihood of picking him up?
Who does he play like?
Would he be a good pick up if fit?
Many thanks,

forget him he'll go to the Tigers.
And Cousin's WILL play AFL in 2008?
Just because he is training there doesn't mean they will take him for sure.

How about we dont participate at all.
We dont need to participate, we've got the 5th choice in recycled cast offs. Geez what a bonanza.
Really hope we use a 5th pick in the National.
