Palmerston Magpies Are Tightening The Screws On The Top 3 Or 4 Teams And Should At Least Make 5th Spot.
With Their Full Strength Side Available They Are In The Top 4 Easily. I Can See That Much From Interstate, And Theve Been Very Unlucky Against Saints And Buffs In The Last 3 Weeks, (should Have Finished Both Of Them Off, But Let Them Back In)
Can Someone Confirm That Palmo Are Up Their With Every Other Side Bar Tiwi Is.
I Dont Want Any Remarks From St Fairy Supporters, Thank You.

NDFC, Daz may well get them into the finals and that would be good for him, he's a good bloke and reportedly a good coach too.
HOWEVER
There is a disconnect between the top 4 sides and the bottom 4 sides this year. The top 4 when they play each other are close and the games usually pretty good and close.
ie Saints v Tahs, SD v Tahs, SD v Tiwi, Saints v Tiwi, SD v Saints, Tiwi v Tahs next week should be good too.
Palmerston seem to be the best of the rest.
Nightcliff have fallen off one of their cliffs.
Darwin are oscillating between barely passable and completely dire (see their games v Saints, Tahs and Tiwi)
Wanderers have been abject altho better than Buffs worst.
Last yr it was Tahs, Districts then daylight. Saints and Tiwi have certainly popped up this year, the others have not. Wanderers have gone backwards, Palmerston have improved (not helped by two really good players from last yr leaving) but not enough to be a real danger to the top 4. Buffs and Nightcliff are sort of where they were.
JDC will probably agree with me here and the ladder bears this out.
Saints, Tiwi and Tahs are 5 -1, SD, 4-2, then daylight.
Palmerston 2 -4, Buffs 2 -4, Nightcliff 1 -5, Wanderers 0 -6.

I think there is a pretty big gap between the top four (St Marys, Waratah, Southern Districts, Tiwi) and Palmerston.
Palmerston looked impressive for the first half against St Marys but even in games that they have won, Palmerston look to die off in the last half.
Perhaps fitness is an issue.
