Congrats to Merenda...he has certainly been through a lot to get to the milestone but i think he will achieve it against Adelaide, he should be selected.

That's great. I always liked Merenda for his ability to do something arsey when required. His effort in the Richmond game was deadset distressing, but to his credit he fought his way back into the side after getting dropped and had the good sense not to try anything silly when he took that kick against Carlton.

Well done.

A very talented player crippled by injuries. So congrats to him on not giving up and finally reaching his 100th game. Hopefully there's a lot more to come.

Very exciting player, which is always a bonus down in the forward line.

Interesting little profile on Merenda in 'The Australian' newspaper a few weeks back. He's only been given 1 year contracts by the club which he is still very grateful for, and that after most games his back causes him a lot of pain. Can be very exciting when he's firing, but can also let the team down in poor decision making.

I was always jealous of Richmond in the 90s when Merenda was kicking all those unbelievable goals, and I can remember one game at the MCG against us he kicked 3 or 4.

Lets hope the boys can win it for his 100th and for Embers 50th

I will always remember 2 incidents in his career.

The first his goal of the year in 2001 :D

The second would be the screamer that he took on blueys back a few years ago when he was playing for richmond.

I never forget that mark, that was a ripper....I still remember calling Mark Merenda a lot of names that day after that mark, but I am glad he is now on our side....:)

credit to ken Judge for picking up this classy player.

9 seasons in the AFL

Faced a career threatening back injury(due to poor medicinal treatment by the Richmond doctors..so up yours Richmond)

Picked himself up and stuck his hand up for 19 games last season

Now playing his 100th game.

Well Done Chocco.
