Who did we get?
Who did we overlook?
How well/bad did we go?

All those questions can be answered over the next few hours/days.

should we take FRASER GHERIG with a late pick??? gherig full forward and Richo up the ground. it's tempting.

At 31, he could play at least till 34 and kick 70+ goals per year. and At least we wouldn't have to play against him...he usually kicks 6+ on us.

Pick 51 - Dean Putt. Bloody happy now. Midfield, KP Defender & Ruckman just what we needed. No need for Richards now

duckboy
24 Nov 2007, 09:46
Putt was Weaver's pick for our #18, so I'll take that at 51. Might still get Gourdis at 67 if we want to use it.

SAY IT SLOWLY...

pik 2: trent cotchin
pik 18: alex rance (WAT A STEAL))
pik 51: dean putt

Psd and rookie draft: GOurdis and bellchambers................

cotchin, rance, gourdis, putt, bellchambers...

DOESNT THAT SOUND GOOD?

Ruanaidh
24 Nov 2007, 10:38
As others have mentioned why didn't we our last pick on Gourdis/Gaertner.
Surely we could have found space for the PSD pick by jettisoning one of our many duds. Or not bothered with the PSD. Maybe the kids will enter the PSD and be selected by us after all? Then there is always the Rookie draft and we have first pick. Overall though I am wrapt with the tigers selections even though I was a Cale Morton fan. Go Cotchy:thumbsu:

Miller was just on SEN. The commentators asked Miller that with the recruitment of Putt if it would mean that Richmond won't be looking at Richards (I hope so). Miller acknowledged that some quality kids have not been picked up in the draft and he will be weighing them up to the likes of Richards for the PSD and we also have the 1# pick in the Rookie draft.

It would be great if we picked up Gourdis and Bellchambers.

Just thinking about it a bit..

Yeah, we needed a big backman, but I would have thought FB was one of the few places we already had someone who was definitely filled that slot.

Rance was probably too good to pass over, having slid that far, and hopefully we can make either him of Thursty into a CHB, but I suspect some of the discussion was about if we needed another FB.

Not sure we'd take Bellchambers. From what I've read, he's more of the 'pure' tap ruckman, and Wallace likes his ruckman to contribute more after the bounce than dominate in it.

especially after the Knobel fiasco...

Take Gourdis, Gaertner - either way is vvvv good
