With our 3 picks how do you think we have gone?
Pick 2 - Trent Cotchin Midfielder
Pick 18 - Alex Rance KP Defender
Pick 51 - Dean Putt Ruckman

brilliant, absolutely stoked, now finish it off by getting some more quality ie not richards
On a needs basis alone we have done very well.

Seeing as I haven't seen any play and just some Cotchin highlights on a 3fps YouTube video, I wouldn't have a clue.

Awesome!!!!! great draft for us......best mid, best Key defender, and a great ruckman-forward.
Good but i think melbourne did better
Haven't seen any of them, but from what I've read, and more importantly, the needs that have been addressed, very happy.

after people giving you guys crap for years about draft picks, you guys must be stoked, Cotchin is the best, Rance is a steal!! Putt is a project ruckman, you have to be happy!

frickin' amazed we got Rance! haven't seen any of these guys play mind you, going purely off reports but wow, we really cleaned up - filled all our needs. What's the mail on Putt, I've seen him mentioned is he another steal?

Weaver had Putt rated at pick 18 so to get him at 51 seems like a steal.

Only quibble is that we passed at 64 when a Gourdis made sense, or Pfeiffer.
But very very pleased at what we jagged. Delighted actually and I'm as optimistic about the Tiges as I have been in yonks. I love the draft

probably take one as a rookie

I've got a lot of respect for Weaver, but most people didn't even have him listed.
Any pick down that far is pretty speculative, but he seems like a good one to take gamble on. Certainly seems to fit what Wallace likes in a Ruckman in that while he mightn't dominate the taps, he'll still be involved in the rest of the play.

Absolutley ecstatic!!!
We got the best player in number 2 Cotchin, and to have Rance slip through to us at pick 18 is amazing..rated top ten and best defender in draft.
Dean Putt excellent choice at pick 51 for our ruck deficiency
Well done Tiges!!!
The footy gods are with us today.
The future looks very bright indeed

Very happy with those selections. I want to still be talking about these names in 10 years time. Go Tigers.
For the first time in a long time I can actually say that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Francis Jackson is the best thing to come to the club in yonks, Connors, Riewoldt, Edwards last year, Cotchin, Rance, Putt this year.
10/10 would rate this as one of our best drafts ever!:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

All the more reason to trust me and not the others ;):p:D

Don't know anything about these kids other than what I've read, but a classy midfielder, key defender and ruckman were exactly what we needed. Add to that McMahon who was a top 10 pick and has some good skills, and Morton who I think will also be thrown in the midfield, it has been a pretty good off-season. Lets hope they now spend some time giving the leftovers a good workout to top it off with pick 1 in the PSD and rookie draft.
I only ranked it as good because we passed on 64 with some really good kids available. They're still around, so I'm happy to change my vote to great if we avoid Richards and pick up Gourdis in the PSD.

Yep, i rate this effort better than a couple of years ago where we picked up Delidio etc. Finally, some brains in the recruiting dept.

Super draft, to pick up a player deemed as possibly the next Judd, the best backman, and a project ruckman, sensational.
I hope there are few current players that are a bit nervous, might improve their committment.
Go Tigers 2011 ??

Secured two hot prospects as well as a solid ruckman, i think we went good today.

Glad we didn't fall for the hype of Morton and took clearly the best player. (size permitting)

Really stoked for you blokes. Great result, best midfielder and best key back in the draft. Hopefully the Tiges and the Dees can climb the ladder together and leave the Carlton scum at the bottom :thumbsu: Tommyneu.

We gained our tallest player. Could be an excellent ruckman considering he is athletic, skillful and mobile and is 203cm and should grow even taller. Should win plenty of hitouts and be handy around the ground. We gained a 193cm CHB who could grow to 195cm + and become our tallest defender with alot of great rebound. We gained a potential gun midfielder. We have quality defence, midfield, forwards and ruckman now. Don't be surprised if Hughes and Reiwoldt turn out to be a guns in 2 years. Look out for Schultz to continue his improvement. He's a still potential gun at only about 22 years of age. Look for improved fitness in Hyde and expect Howat to be added to the list again. GO TIGES

This year will be make or break for Hughes and (especially) Schultz. Knuckle down, get serious and show some tangible signs of being able to produce or else watch the kids pass them by.
One of the best outcomes of a draft like we had is the pressure it puts on the incumbents to perform.
Eagles did best out of the draft.
We did very well.

I thought our draft couldnt of been better. Cotchin Superstar, Rance best kpd in the draft and Putt will make it and will be a good player. i give it 9/10. Plus we got Morton and Mchman who will be in our 22.
I knew we were getting Cotchin a few days before the draft and i didnt want to make any threads about it like some other guy did. I PM alot of the tiges supporters and i was right. :thumbsu: I said a couple of months ago that we would get cotchin and rance and it actually happened.:thumbsu:
I am over the moon and cannot wait till the season starts.

They did well out of the draft ... but no matter how you cut and slice it losing Cousins and Judd ain't going to be covered by the 3 mids they picked up. I remains to be seen whether Selwood or Ebert are even an upgrade on Morton ... they probably are not an upgrade on the 'retired' Chick.

He was pick 17. 16 picks he was overlooked. Maybe that is for a reason.
Once Rance turns and wins a match like Buddy - then you can make that comment mate.
Who says Rioli won't be better.
Richmond recruting has been s***house.
Tambling, Oakley Nicholls, Myers.
I rest my case.
Head your own words, who's to say Tambling won't be a good pick up?
He has shown enough to suggest that whilst he might not hit his peak till his mid 20's he will be a solid 150+ gamer for the club

How can you say thanks for overloooking Rance for Rioli then?
Who is going to be dropped for dowler, muston and tuck?
Four goal quarter? Pitty he can only do it once.
Please show me where I have said anything remotely close to this.
If these youngsters had shown consistent good form at VFL level, they would be in the senior line-up.
Given oppurtunity, as Tuck and Dowler were this year, they had the chance to remain in the team with a solid performance...neither did.
All i'm saying is that you can't label Tambling a "dud" due to the fact another player from his draft has out-performed him to this point.
