Haynes out - he's running out of chances.

Tuckey and Green unlikely to be selected.

One from Merenda, Williams, Braun, Judd or Chambers to also miss out. Could be any of them for different reasons, but I would be most surprised if it was Braun or Judd to miss out. Judd may get a rest this year, but not this week. Chambers or Merenda may not be fit and Williams seems to be marginal in selection terms.

Glad to see Wilson given another week - he'll be one of those blokes that'll declare himself fit when clinically dead.

Not really. He's just not in the best 22. Funny how they select players though. He finally starts to play well and they drop you. Maybe they're trying to send him a message that he needs to do more?

Odd backline. The shortest player there is Jones and he's no shorty either. Off the top of my head, the Crows aren't particularly tall up forward (all their options are out) and besides their Roo, who else is there?

My tip for the ommisions, Tuckey, Green and Chambers/Williams. Braun and Judd play vital roles in the team so I can't see them being dropped in such an important match. Who cares anyway, its a good problem! :)

Their forward line:

HF: Burton, Stevens, Bode
F: Johncock, Perrie, Massie

Perrie is alright, Burton can be electric, can't remember much about the others. Bode is a smaller type player, will probably get Jones. Massie was from Carlton but don't know much about him and Johncock is a young rookie who plays small forward I think.

If our trouble against small forwards is anything to go by id say Bode will be worth at least two goals on the weekend. Johncock hanst impressed me but to be fair he is still learning and being a smaller forward he may come out and bite us in the bum. Id say our backline can handle their forwards but the key for us is midfield dominance. If we can get on top there we should be ok. Im feeling a bit more confident about our chances now. Was Schell named in Adelaide's team? Surprised not to see him lining up, maybe on the bench?

I can't see it!!!!!

more like

HF: Embley, Gardiner, Wirrpunda
F: Fletcher, Lynch, Fido
Foll: Cox, Banfield, Kerr

But we still need some rotation to rest Gardy and cox at times and cover for the chance that Gardy pulls thew hammy again. So my bet is Tuckey will play.

Then again we are playing four talls in defence. Looking at Adelaide last week that seems a mismatch so maybe Hunter gets a go up front and Banners drops to defence.

Schell has been omitted

Likewise the Crows have named a bogus line-up. More likely to line-up something like as follows:

B: Hart, Bassett, Johncock
HB: Massie, McGregor, Goodwin
C: Doughty, Stenglein, Gallagher
HF: Riccuito, Stevens, Bode
F: Perrie, Burton, Edwards
FOLL: Biglands, Bickley, McLeod
Inter (from): Crowell, Clarke, Nelson, Shirley, Marsh, Mattner, Ladhams

Suprise may be if Shirley plays, he may be given a run-with role instead of Stenglein on Cousins.

Johncock hanst impressed me but to be fair he is still learning and being a smaller forward he may come out and bite us in the bum. Stiffy is better suited in defence IMO as he has played some great football there. Tends to go missing too much when playing as a forward.

Was Schell named in Adelaide's team? No, he was dropped.

Please bring in Gardy, my fantasy footy team needs him ;)

Can't imagine Chambers missing out. He would have to be in the top 10 eagles year to date, and hasn't really had a bad game yet. I would say Tuckey is there for insurance, and he will miss out if Gardiner plays. Of the others, Green's been named as a reward for WAFL form but won't play, and I would think that Williams and Braun will fight out the last spot.

Just my thoughts

Great to see Gardiner selected...now will he play? If he does he will start at CHF with Cox in the ruck, cant see them throwing Gardy straight into the ruck. I hope Williams, Chambers, Braun and Judd all play but one or maybe two of those will miss out. Tuckey will only get a game if Gardiner again doesnt pull up. Good to see Lynch get another go.

I think the club are seriously thinking of giving Judd a rest for a week or two, or give him a run with East Perth as they don't want to burn the kid out in his first year.

Gardiner must play - the club can't keep teasing us with "He's ready, oh wait... no he's not" Tuckey should get his chance if Gardiner isn't ready for the weeding of Adelaide.

Hope that Chambers comes back in after having a dodgy curry before the Carlton game.

I hope Mark Merenda plays as it is suppose to be his 100th game and it would mean less of a headache for the cheer squad over here if he got his milestone out of the way. Plus he can be a great goalsneak. I'd go for Williams, Chambers, Merenda and Judd. Kodie

With Sux's recent form, I would start him in the ruck and leave Gardy at CHF. Gardy can provide the drive into the forward line and allow Cox to drop back.

Thought it was a good tactic stated in the West this morning about getting Cox to punch the ball well away from McLeod. Regardless of the injuries and sickness the Crows are carrying, I think this man is the one who could win the game for them.

Agree about Suxxy being the primary ruckman- Gardiner needs to get some fitness, and with Wilson still out, we probably need him up forward more anyway.
As for Mcleod, obviously, a tag is needed. Given his pace, sounds like a job for... PINOCHIO!!!

Wooden is also the man id have do the job on McLeod, he's the only one with the pace to match him but I think with a player like McLeod its a matter of minimising the damage rather than stopping it.

Bugger punching it away from McLeod, just punch it near Cuz, he'll do the rest :D

Wooden should definitely have first crack at McLeod, if he gets away from him then switch Jones onto him, Jones doesnt have the pace but that doesnt seem to matter much as Jones is our best tagger and knows his role very well.
