I personally love the use of a wide range of images - be they simple drawings, complex cartoons, pictures of real objects/places/animals or cleverly photoshopped images.

I applaud the clever use of images to enhance the message of your post - especially when done in humour or to prove a point.

There are limits to everything. As you can imagine, the moderators:mad: will automatically apply appropriate infractions against posters who display pornographic, obscene, or offensive images.

Examples of automatic infractions are: images of Downs syndrome or other obviously intellectually handicapped persons (usually as a form of insult to a fellow poster); pictures of poo (faeces, shit - whatever you want to call it) - we dont want to see it - you don't want us to see it either; animals fornicationg, defaecating, urinating etc.; images of personal vibrators, dildos, sex dolls etc....

I can't list all of the things that are inappropriate, so we say be tasteful. If it's something you would be comfortable showing your grandmother - then it's probably OK.

Tasteful is a subjective term. Your tasteful might not be mine. As an example.
I recently used this image (provided by Keyser Soze):

But I was asked to remove it by the administrators because it is a bit too risque.
So I am posting it to show you that you (and I) are not allowed to post stuff like it.

I replaced it with this image which appears to be (just) acceptable:

I remember a thread where HotDog posted a picture of a little dog taking a dump on the sidewalk. ('hur hur hur hawthorn's jumper hur hur hur' or something similar) I doctored it so the little dog was actually excreting a fat West Coast supporter who looked a bit scared of Micky O. I remember the original dog pic was removed, but my 'HotDogBog' was left alone.

Q. Is it ok to post an image like this still, or is admin putting the foot right down? (if necessary, I can repost the image for clarification purposes)

Post it as a link - that way we have to click on it to see it - I'll get Rusty to have a look - he seems to be a better judge than me on this sort of thing.

So you were asked to remove a picture by administrators and then you re-posted the same picture.

You Mods should have a Lemon Party to discuss this further.

For the uninitiated, Goatse is / was an internet shock site - with rather depraved or disgusting images - designed to get an immediate reaction - usually repulsion.

Yeah Rory - out of the question. :o

Where do we stand on this image?

I'd show this to my gran, but her eyesight isn't that great so I could easily pas it off as a badger.

Here's a picture of a badger.....I assume this is fine?

Here is a link then:

HotDogBog (http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/4841/hotbogaw5.jpg)

It isn't very offensive (unless you're the dog I spose), certainly no goatse or anything.
