No seriously. Let's have a look at the facts with this potential relocation of the Hand-baggers.

The Victorian Government has indicated on numerous occasions that the urban growth on the western corridor of Melbourne is getting out of hand.

The outer areas of Werribee are fast approaching Lara, and then it's onto Geelong. It's not out of the question to say that there will not be a physical delineation between Melbourne and Geelong within 30 years. This would effectively make Geelong an outer suburb of Melbourne.

So that being said, how many teams do the western suburbs need? I say one, and with Footscray's impending departure to Sydney, that's what we will have.

But the problem is why a supporter should have to drive all the way from Sunshine or the western suburb heartland of Braybrook to Skilled Stadium.

Answer, the AFL will build a new approx. 40,000 seat stadium in Werribee, the geographical center of the new western suburbs. And with the new stadium comes a new name; the Werribee Cats.

So you live in San Francisco? I hope this post is a joke, and you did actually put it on Bay 13 yourself.

It will take 200 years before any houses of the western suburbs reach Lara, they are that far apart.
