The Red Hot Chilli Peppers will play a show on Sunday December 1 at Colonial Stadium. Tickets go on sale July 15.

These guys are one of the best live bands on the planet, and even if your not a diehard fan i would suggest getting along.

Playing at Colonial, there may be a chance some other American bands come out with them.

Hopefully ticket prices arent to steep :(

I'd have to disagree. I reckon the Red Hot Chilli Pepper's are one of the worst live bands to see, especially considering the likely high price of tickets. Likewise, considering their status as a "big" band, they lack severely in regards to keeping momentum, and even basically having a decent sound which can "fills out" a venue. I wouldn't even say they replicate their studio sound particularly well on stage.

Very rarely do their shows last very long in terms of a couple of hours of quality, possibly because their either too far under the influence to be able to play, or because they basically couldn't be stuffed.

The best bet, is for them to come out and spotaneously put together a good shorter show with lots of energy. But if you're looking for a long night of back catalogued hit songs, then don't get your hopes up!

Sometimes the lesser full house loses the 'punch', especially if you're at the back. The larger spaced out venue like the Tennis Centre seems to work only if it's a "packed out" crowd that helps "fill out " the sound. I Know someone who rates RHCP as his all time favs...won't be happy if STOCKA's comment holds true.

With tckts at a hefty price, it will be a stern test for the RHCP to not only pack out but satisfy thier loyal fans.

If I can afford it, I'll definately go. Means I'll have to scrape together a hundred bucks in the next five days though...

I hate the fact that it's at Colonial, but seeing they are my all time favourite band, I'll fork out the $$$$$ to be among teeny-boppers.

Seen them live twice and I agree with Stocka. Over-rated and these prices are ridiculous.

I've seen a show at Colonial and while I was pretty close to the stage the sound was awesome.
The venue was far from full in fact 2/3 of the ground was blocked off but I wouldn't even bother testing the sound in the reserved seating areas.
