Just try and pick on him now.

Ah dear ol' Stakes, big year looming from him. I know its hard to imagine (might not be soon) but if he was more consistent he'll be one hell of a player :thumbsu:

I've got a lot of time for Staker based more on potential rather than perfromance though.
He has all the tools to be an elite AFL player except consistency. Showed signs during 2007 that things were coming together but still had an annoying tendency to disappear during games (shin splints late in the year didn't help this)
For Staker 2008 is make or break I feel - with young talls like Brown, Kennedy, Schofield, McKenzie and Spangher all looking to break into the side Staker is the most vulnerable of our established KPP's.
If he doesn't become a consistent contributor this year I firmly believe he will be offered as trade bait next year.

Good Post
He really has improved in the last 2 years, I am expecting a really big year from him. I would love to see him playing on the wing, he has excellent hands and is surprisingly good in contested situations, he is a beautiful kick and can read the play very well and has a reasonable motor. He just needs to be more consistent
Could we see him playing a more Adam Goodes like role? Tall midfielder who can rest forward and cause a lot of problems for the defence?

I think that may be part of Staker's inconsistency. He never seems to play in the same position for a full game, let alone a full season.
I'd like to see him on the wing for the first 10 games of the season, see how he is faring after a long trot in the same position.

Should never have gone off the first page
But until the new one comes along, remember children, the MIS has gone MIA off Stakers name as he becomes a full blown star ;)
But before going over board I'll just keep it at that (thats until the start of the season!)
