you'd have Danny Meyer in the forward pocket ... yet Bryce Gibbs doesn't rate a mention.
it should be made to include 24 year olds, so we can include: Judd, Waite, Thornton etc.

Before actually reading the sides I would have said Carlton without thinking. They may still be in front after looking them over although I would say without the benefit of the last 3 No.1 picks, the balance of Richmond's squad listed is perhaps better. (Perhaps).

Richmonds list is loaded with "Name Brand" youngsters. Apart from Foley and maybe Deledio, there isn't really much talent on that list whatsoever. Your Top 5 talents from that list would read.
1. Murphy

3. Kreuzer
4. Foley

so ur suggesting gibbs and murphy and kruezer is better than foley?. ROFL
murphy is a champion, no doubt.
But foley would be number 1 on that list. Did muephy get nominated for AA?

Rance hasn't been given the footballing equivalent of the death sentence by playing for Richmond yet.
Simpson is MUCH better than Thursfield. However, you are a Tugger supporter, so such mistakes are expected from an inbred :thumbsu:

- Rance
Rucks:

Neither. Both crap.
I didn't vote because the Blues younger player group is about 10-15 talent classes above what the Tiges have, which is overall a complete mess. The only players that are worthwhile on the Tiges list are Deledio, Cotchin, and maybe Riewoldt, although he's a bit slow. The rest are solid middle-of-the-roaders. :)

Richmond. Marginally though.
Foley is the winning argument to Richmond every time, because he is clearly such a better player than anyone on that list, including Murphy.
Murphy is definately a star in the making, but Foley has everything Murphy has and alot more.
He is one player the blues also cant play the, "Oh but he gets the number 1 tagger" line. Because Foley gets checked far closer than Murphy, and breaks it far quicker also.
Gibbs has alot to prove, draft status can only take you so far.
Deledio, as many people like to forget, won the RS, and I thought played some great footy in the F50 at the end of the season.
Carlton's spine is pathetic apart from Jamieson, but Fisher is the best forward out of the two Grp's
However Morton, Riewoldt, Hughes and Edwards, makes a joke of Carltons forward line, even with Fisher.
I wont even mention the backlines, Richmonds wins that contest, easily to say the least.
The only part of the ground that Carlton compete decently with Richmond is the midfield.
But Foley, Tambling, Deledio, Cotchin, Polo and Connors is better Murphy, Gibbs, Simpson, Bentick, Grigg and Walker
Foley > Murphy
Deledio > Walker
Tambling < Simpson
Connors > Grigg
Polo = Bentick
Cotchin ? Gibbs

:D You're good for a laugh one_twelve112:thumbsu:
Kruezer at 3 is a joke. Firstly, he hasn't even played a game, and while many other players in the respective <23 teams haven't either, he wasn't even regarded as the best talent in this years draft - Cotchin was. You've even implied Cotchin is no good when you say Deledio and Foley consitute the only talent on the tigers' list! If the Blues didn't need a ruckman they'd have taken Cotchin without any hesitation.
A top 5 list of talent would look more like this (and the order of the top 3 really could be interchanged on any given Saturday afternoon depending on performance)
1. Murphy
2. Deledio
3. Foley
4. Gibbs
5. Cotchin
.... Kruezer, Simpson etc...
Start at Foley.
Then work down.

Walker shits all over Foley for talent, let alone Marc Murphy v Foley.
Foley's disposal isn't exactly the best in the AFL either and isn't as good as Murphy's.
I wouldn't take that little Richmond midfielder ahead of Murphy, Gibbs and Walker in a month of Sundays. Walker has played in defence on talls and smalls as well in the midfield when he's kicked better goals than Foley. As for rating Foley ahead of Marc Murphy, the unproven Cotchin ahead of Gibbs and Connors ahead of Grigg.
Cleve Hughes is a tool.
Morton and Riewoldt have done nothing.

Ok, first off Walker is a dud in high heels, most overrated Pick 2 in history, Foley's disposal is great, you obviously haven't seen any Richmond matches from this year, try the one against Collingwood in which Foley hits Polak Laces out in two consecutive centre clearances, which result in two goals, which set up a win.
Foley was in the top 40 players this year, as shown by his nomination in the 40 AA squad, but obviously you are much more credentialed to comment on this considering your wealth of football knowledge and the fact you played AFL, right?
If you look at the guys post he has a question mark in between Cotchin and Gibbs, meaning he does not know which one is better, he simply has the Richmond player listed first.
How you can think Grigg is better than Connors is astounding, Grigg played 5 games this year with and averaged 11.8 disposals, his highest tally of disposals was 19 against Melbourne in the last game of the year, on in which Carlton weren't actually trying.
Connors on the other hand played 4 game with an average of 13.8 disposals with his highest tally of 23 disposals against eventual premiers Geelong, not only this but Connors had 13 disposals in his debut game against Sydney and looked as mature as anyone else on the field.
As for you other inane comments Cleve Hughes is only 20yo and is simply learning the art of playing as a lead up CHF in his 7 games this year he managed 8 goals, kicking 6 in 2 matches and also having 26 disposals from those 2 games.
Morton I will say has done nothing, but we don't need him to be a superstar right away anyway considering the forward line players such as Brown, Pettifer, Edwards and others roaming through there, Morton can take his time and eventually take over from Browny as a forward/midfielder.
Riewoldt has just turned 19 and in his first season managed 7 goals from 8 games, with a highest of 3 goals against Port Adelaide, need I say more.

No please dont say any more. Names like Conners, Pettifer, Edwards, Morton, Cleve Hughes etc etc are killing us all. There is a reason you are spoon favouritres at $4.00 and looking for back to back spoons and 3 out of the last 5. Your list is a train wreck. Need to get rid of Wallet and Miller. How can two men be continually allowed to prosper financially, and yet all Tiger fans have to put up with the current list and pathetic on field form. It is a disgrace that supporters for some wierd reason seem happy to accept all of this crap. Enough is enough. Sack Miller and Wallet and go for a rebuild!

Richmond have better depth and balance, but I would definitely take Carlton's top 10 before Richmond's. A lot of players on the Tigers team will be nothing more than GOPs, whereas Carlton have more players who have the potential to be guns (but also more who could be duds).

Why do Richmond fans over-rate their list so much? The bolded players are not even up to AFL standard or have proved nothing yet.
Richmond will win the spoon next year whilst Carlton will be challenging for the 8. Outside of Deledio and Foley there isn't a player up there I would want other than a few of the high picks that should be good.
