Time to role out the new boys and Scott Lucas.
Our first close up look at our new blokes in the Bombers colours. All the new boys hit the track today and looked good in the red and black as you would expect :D Myers and Pears seemed to fit right in straight away with both getting stuck in and showing good voice during the drills. You can see why Myers is rated so highly as a leader. He simply picked up the pace of training straight away and found his voice staright up , encouraging the players and calling for the footy loudly. Didnt look nervous at all despite the fact that he would have been very much so on the inside.
Hooker wasnt as skinny as i thought he might be. He looks to have a decent frame to build on and isnt just a skinny kid with no definition.
Without getting carried away all three seemd to move well and looked to be good in the skill department. Lets hope they all turn out ok :thumbsu:
There was another tall kid training with us that i presume was Bellchambers (will have to find a picture of him to confirm as i just cant recall his face from the last time i saw him play). Nice solid lump of a kid he is.Kicking skills seemed ok.
Lucas completed his first skills session today. His first few kicks where a bit rusty but he was soon into the swing of things. All the handballing in the mod group may have payed off becasue he was very good in a couple of the handball drills
Despite not rating him i am impressed with Arrowsmith's attitude and efforts on the training track. The kid really works hard.
Hislop, JJ, Johns and Neagle are all still in the mod group.
Todays effort was a little better than Wednesday but still not as sharp as last week.Knight's left the assistants to run the show today while he watched procedings from the balcony ,getting an over all view of what was going on and obviously looking for things he cant pick up when on the ground and running drills.
Thats about it for today. Next report should be in on Monday arvo :thumbsu:
