Hows A Jarmans boy doing?I umpired his club grand final. was among the best 5 on the park each time i had his team during the year and stepped up in finals, showed some good hardness at the ball.
There was better out there, but from what i have heard Jars didnt step up until later in life.
Definitely keep an eye on him.

We need Van Berlo to start breeding with every female state netballer, basketballer, hockey player and Soccer player in SA.
can hope for about 30 boys out of that, where we can whittle the squad down to 22.

the only player that i know came close to that number was Michael Tuck and i reckon he could have done it too if he had not retired [ not sure if it was his choice to retire at time ?]

Tuck would've had a better chance if he didn't spend his first few years playing reserves. He didn't exactly crack straight into the seniors. KB is next and they are the only two to have played more than 400.
I'm pretty sure there's four others to have played over 350+ with Robert Harvey and Doug Hawkins among them. Can't think of the others right now, but I recall Harvey becoming the sixth to join the club this year. Hawkins was reelling the names off on SEN during that week and he couldn't for the life of him figure out who the last one was. It was himself. He forgot to mention himself. :p

The funny thing is that he was big noting himself as a bit of a joke. Something along the lines of, "not many get to 350 games. It take a special sort of player..." Then he mentioned the other five and was stuck on the sixth one. He repeated the five to himself again and said, "Oh wait, I forgot to say me." :D

I just loved the fact checkers at the crapertiser at it again.
In both the album and the article they called Brent Reilly by the wrong first name and then in the gallery section apparently there is this footballer by the name of Michael Doherty that is a footballing mate of Roos - I just hope he isn't related to Pete Doherty!
I knew this was going to happen too as I know who the wedding band was. ;)
