Am I right in understanding he was Top 10 in a number of areas? Probably Top 5 overall in terms of his testing?

Considering he is bottom age for a draftee could he be a lot better than what some punters on Bigfooty are giving him credit for?

He could be. But eagles picked him up with their last pick, which suggests he isn't really seen as a potential superstar at this stage as otherwise teams wouldn't have let him slip that far.

Westhoff anyone? I think the reason teams didn't want him earlier is because they didn't want to get tricked by the selwood name. In terms of a footballer i feel he has great talent and is bottom aged so he has plenty of time to develop. He cam 7th in Agility and 7th in beep test and then 6th in 3km time trial. Pretty solidly built for a bottom aged player and with his great endurance and agression, he has the potential to establish himself as a very good player. Proven ball magnet in tac cup (averaging 27 odd disposals) so he could be rotated through the midfield. If only we had picked up maric or pears insted of Notte, then it would have been a perfect draft.

It is not exactly like he was passed on a great deal to slip to our last pick. I mean, it was only pick 22!

even though you lost judd and cousins it pains me to say it but you did really well in the draft and when i saw your club fall apart i thought that you where about to go through a rough patch but with your draft picks you now seem to have a decent future. well done

As you know only too well kouta, you must have the draft picks to develop and improve, or maintain competitiveness. That's where your mob were crucified because you could only bring in hacks from other clubs as a stop gap measure, not get the talent to develop, or try to develop speculative picks.

That being said, this crop is still a few years away from being on the park regularly, let alone filling some of the void left by Judd and Cousins, because I'm not sure anyone can step into their shoes, yet.

Notte will be a champion in 4 or 5 years. Remember son - the ox is slow.

In 4 or 5 years i think this draft will be a hot topic on bigfooty.
I think you will find that the whole competition will know of notte in 3-4, AA in 5.
Still happy with how the eagles went in the draft though.

Remembering our last pick ,22, was before some teams second pick.

I think Vitalogy is getting confused with Notte! Similar picks in the draft and all.
