"Howard is an ar$e licker. He went over there, kissed some bums and got patted on the head" - Mark Latham

With the recent comments made by the ALP's Mark Latham on Howard's recent visit to the USA, I really don't agree with the way he said it, but I agree with Latham in the principal of the truth.

While Howard is kow-towing to the USA and being patted on the head by cowboy George and his powerful mates, our farmers are being hurt by the US Farm Bill.

I was sickened by Howard's nauseating grovelling to the USA, and his weakness to defend our famers. After all, is Howard meant to be defending our country as our PM or defending the USA in their so called war of terrorism? He is happy to commit more troops to the USA's grand display of power, but leaves our own hard working farmers to suffer.

Latham's comments may be in poor taste, but I do agree with Latham in principal. Howard wants to be seen as a Robert menzie's type clone, but showed his weakness in this whole affair. Latham may be as virile as Keating, but all in all, we need someone who has the guts to stand up to the USA on this US Farm Bill.

Weak and gutless you are Howard. Time for you to step aside you grovelling idiot.

Thoughts?

I agree 100% with Latham's sentiment. His term for Howard doesn't worry me but could be seen to be in poor taste.

The libs pretending to be horrified is the part making me barf. Apparently it's ok to demonise some of the most unfortunate people on this planet (asylum seekers), fabricating "evidence" that they would throw their kids into the sea, but not ok to call the PM an "arse-licker" for his grovelling performance in the US.

Australian politics and politicians - perhaps if we ignored them they would go away.

I thought Latham's comments were the perfect description for little Johnny's pathetic performance in the US.........

I didn't think it was in poor taste.........it was a description all Australian's could understand and relate to..........just goes to show who's pulling the strings of control in this country........

Latham's comments are what most of us were thinking anyway. My only problem with the way he put is that he appears to be grabbing some of the spotlight for himself.

I hadn't heard of him before this so mission accomplished.

Johnny Howrd's toadying has made me cringe for many years now. He is almost literally bowing and scraping and it is sickening to see.

It really reminds me of that Looney Tunes cartoon where the big bulldgo struts along and the little dog dances around him going 'you're my hero cos you're so brave and strong'.

It is about time this nations leaders stood up and we make our own decisions. They say that 'when America sneezes, Australia catches a cold'. I would hate to see what would happen if America got cancer.

Hmmm.....Howard must not have liked what he tasted when kissing the American's arses because didn't he agree to let Australia join the International Tribunial when the U.S. wanted us to boycott it?

We knew he was an arsa licker when we elected the little **** as much as the yanks knew that Bill Clinton was a womaniser. But Packer and Murdoch didn't like the other option so he was given the easy run by the press.
