Whats going on here? Saints nicking our staff, and signing a couple of players. This is the start of a new rivalry. Two traitors,in Lyons and Misson.
Dont care what Roosey says, good luck and all that ballocks, they jumped ship
for more money, and its gonna bite them in the arse!!!

I went to School with Misson's daughter Georgia...the only reason why he went 2 the Saints is because his wife...who was our deputy head at school is moving to Melbourne to teach at Melbourne Girls Grammer...i spoke to georgie and she hates that fact that she now has to watch her dad coach the saints and that our 1st game is against them!
This is the new enemy they have my schneider and i still cant believe it
but i do look forward 2 the games ahead!

Both teams have red and white, but the Saints have another stripe of black. Black generally symbolises evil, danger and plenty of other words that are related to any negative nature. :thumbsu:
Either way, we 'stole' some of their players but we've turned them into better players. :D
@ Sophie - I feel sorry for Georgia!

We have 15 sworn enemies.
We've had that many since Fremantle were admitted.
And if the Arden St scum don't head north, we'll have 16 in 2010.
Barry Hall?
Spider Everitt (via Hawks granted but still)?
Tony Lockett?
Any idea who's been stealing from who? It's about time we get some of our own back!

This is in fact true and hence why he left the Swans. However he put himself on the market to ALL Melbourne sporting clubs (AFL, NRL and A-League) and decided to go to St Kilda because of his connection with Ross Lyon and the challenge of trying to get 22 fit St Kilda players on the field each week.
As for St Kilda being the New Enemy, I think some people need to read up on club history prior to not only the trade period of this year, the 2005 Prelim Final or each the trade's which got us Lockett and Hall. They have hated us ever since the beginning of the VFL because our two grounds use to be at either end of the Albert Park Lake until they moved to Morabbin in 1966 and we have always been the more successful of the two sides (Four Premierships to One don't lie).
Bitterness is a famous St Kilda trait....

ha, and their change strip features a good serve of yellow, the colour traditionally used to mark cowardice and a general lack of courage and conviction

ha, and their change strip features a good serve of yellow, the colour traditionally used to mark cowardice and a general lack of courage and convictionVery perceptive of you to mark the connection between the colour yellow and St Kilda as they have several current players who fall under the above mentioned criteria.A very good observation by yourself Rancid that would clearly explain their sad pathetic history which has been littered with failure and misery, which one can only hope continues long into the future.

I wish Ross Lyon lots of good luck - but not at our expense
Whilst I am a proud Swans supporter I do have a small soft spot for the Saints because of the compassion they showed an old workmate and his family during his unsuccessful battle with Leukemia

Have you seen the hatred by the saints fans on here towards the swans, it's an obsession for them and I love seeing them try and justify there hatred toward us.
I love seeing them get enraged by formers saints doing well with us, but the only special reason i like beating St Kilda is the big footy saints brigade, otherwise its just as important as any other game really.

Yeah they were good - the club had all the players sign a jumper for him which a few of his work mates presented him with and after he passed on the club invited his widow and young kids into rooms either after a game or at trainig or something (couple of years ago now)
The behind the scenes people at the saints were very pleasant and compassionate to deal with

it does seem, certainly in recent times, that saints fans come to our board in far greater numbers, and more frequently, than any other fans
probly in the hope of intelligent, worthwhile conversation and the quest for interesting topics
y'get a better class of BF poster on the swans board

In the big circus that is the AFL, its always good to read about things like this rather than drug issues, drunkeness and so on. Shows the clubs are human (to a degree).
why don't st.kilda scum stick to there own board.

They are getting our players, coaching and fitness staff. It is only a matter of time before they want to merge the Swans/Saints bigfooty boards.

This post just reinforces (from brilliant_bally) the Saints' supporters lack of education, particularly in English (ala Spelling).

no no no......i HAVE to step in here and stop you
it's a bart simpson quote and is very cleverly used in this case, as it is when bart first used it in an episode i think focusing on him receiving a good grade in some spurious subject while lisa misses out
bart says "oh the ironing" and lisa then points out to him that the appropriate expression is "oh the irony"
and now i'm annoyed at having to back up a saints fan's humour and sound really fecking pompous doing it

Any team that has Milne and Gehrig in it, i'll hate.
Ahh well, we can always come back with the fact that they won their only premiership in Collingwood jumpers. How past actions come back to bite you in the ass :)

Add that to the fact that you can never quite learn to spell his name properly. It's bloody hard.

i am pretty sure they were photographed wearing c'wood jumpers AFTER winning the 1966 GF because they would've been following the old tradition of swapping jumpers with the opposition
i'm not sure if you knew this and were just playing the joke out

Lol, no.
I was with you there.
I don't know how to spell it either!
Wouldn't mind having him at Sydney at all, but we might have to spruce him up a little.
The horde of players smashing him has given him a permanently squashed looking face. :D
