im thinking about buying it and was just wondering if anyone knows of a better price than $269 at JB?

i also thought about taking advantage of the good exchange rates and getting it from the US but the shipping rates makes it not really worth it.

so to the people who have it, is it good and where did you get it from?

Big W Eastland yesterday had every single series for $31 each so I reckon you're on the money there.

Well at Deep Discount a couple of weeks ago it was $160 US if you applied their 20% off deal...plus 16.95 postage.... which is probably the cheapest i've seen it....

www.deepdiscount.com

You can get it for $199 from there now plus same postage.

Alternatively amazon has it for just over $200 with postage just under $10 (i think)

Pretty good price that. I'd fork that out for the complete Seinfeld boxset.

What about region coding though? Wouldn't one from the USA be a different region to what you can get here?

Check out ebay you might be able to buy each season for as little as $20 each

i'd sell my first 6 seasons for $100 plus $20 postage....but you'd have to get the rest somewhere else...

season 3 and 4 is when it started taking off, but to be honest if you want to buy 1, buy the 1 which has the most episodes in it

Any prices quoted on Amazon will be US dollars but there's not much difference between them at the moment anyway.

Around the $200 mark is a great buy. How many discs are included in total? I've got seasons 3 and 4, and when you've watched all the episodes a million times, even the most boring director's commentary is fascinating :) Quality show.

A fantastic reward for those who bought the seasons individually. I really hate it when DVD companies do this... no wonder people pirate.

I got it today for $210 from Borders with a 40% off DVD voucher that I got from being on their email list!

Yeah it annoys me as well when you are loyal and buy the individual dvds then you get stung when they bring out the boxset as a whole!

how long have you been on the list? i just signed up and got a 20% off voucher, not complaining tho $240 is better than $270.

If it was $210 with 40% off how much did they plan on charging for it

Borders normall price is $360 which i think is excessive - especially when i have purchased some of the earlier series!!

Not sure, it was mum who got it and I used it.

It says $351.95 on box, but the woman told me they sell it for $299.95, but said with my 40% off voucher it would be cheaper.

Triva Track, Audio Commentaries, little behind the scenes docos on each episode, and one or two big docos on each season.

Not to mention the interviews they had with the cast members a couple of years ago which were also pretty good.

ManWithNoName

They pretty much make up the docos.

And let's not forget, SUBTITLED audio commentaries. Nothing makes me angrier than an unsubtitled commentary.

anyone with the seinfeld complete boxset have to season 8 disc 4 and no season 9 disc 4??

i realised this the other day, took it back to the stoor and they sent it back to the manufacturer who sent back a new one with the same problem...they are complaining about it now and reckon the whole batch has this problem......they reckon there will be a big re-call for all of them in a few weeks

the thing is its the very last disc that ahs the mistake, so some people will watch all the episodes in order and not notice this until a few months, possibly years down the track.

It was probably discontinued due to the aforementioned season 8/season 9 disc 4 problem. The lady from EzyDVD probably knew that and used it as a sales tactic ;)

Yeah that's right. Although you wouldn't think she would care as i would doubt the Ezydvd staff would be on a commission.

Dunno. Presumably the slimline cases given they've been phasing the boxes out. I far prefer the slimline cases though. Much, much better.

only just got the disc replaced today. whole process took ages.

the manufacturer only had the complete box sets with 2 disc 4 season 8's in them so they just took a season 9 disc 4 out of the season 9 box set on the shelf. finally a bit of common sense.....

I'm sure the people buying those Season 9s will be thrilled.

And re the Inside Looks, there might not have been enough material from the interviews to piece together a decent Inside Look.
