About

Began 2006 struggling with illness and didn’t play until round four, but the 31-year-old managed every game from then on to take his career tally to 222, and was terrific all year. Won plenty of hard ball in the midfield, including consecutive 29-possession outings in rounds 10 and 11 against Brisbane and Melbourne respectively, and averaged over 21 touches across the season. Regularly provided a spark in the midfield to get his teammates going, and often went forward and had a significant impact, kicking two goals on three occasions. Finished the season very strongly and was 11th in the EW Copeland Trophy voting.

Sorry for the late reply guys, having exam week this week and have been pretty busy studying.

Anyway, Scotty's first game as captain was pretty damn good imo. He bleeds black and white so bad it's not funny. He was in and under and just about every contest and really won the hard ball for us. He started a little slow, but i think he was rotating off the bench as usual. All in all, he had a solid game as usual and was in our bests.

He was very exciting to watch after he got going - really tough and determined. He'll be an excellent captain and a great example to the youngsters.
