It'd be a phenomenal story if they could go all the way. Rags to riches all in the space of a year.
You'd think that Demetriou and co. will be sitting in AFL house all year long rooting against them, though. :o

Winning GF, has meant nothing before for North financially wise. Unfortunately.

It would be reminiscent of the 96 GF. When Pagan & Carey held the cup aloft, Ross Oakley (who'd spent the previous 2 or 3 years eagerly awaiting the chance to axe or merge the Roos) had to stand there, looking like he'd prefer to be eating his own internal organs. It was beautiful! :D

And your locked in tip for North in 2007 was? You were still staying they were pretenders due for a fall after they finished top 4 to make the finals easily. Now you're just embarrassing yourself further.
It would be an amazing story - we'll be a better team next year than last, with our forwards back in health and our backline and young midfielders with some extra experience, so it would be nice to think we could go better again than in 2007. As always, we'll wait and watch in hope.

Three issues HTH:
1) I have a right to an opinion. I don't rate your mob as highly as all you supporters.
2) I think North's finals performances vindicate my assertion that North were pretenders in 2007.
3) I tipped North to come 15th before the NAB cup. I upgraded that to 8th - 10th after your NAB wins over Collingwood and Freo. So I wasn't far off the mark.
