AC will be on 3AW's Sports Today on Tuesday 11 December.
Most likely on for about 10min about 6.20pm... not sure but thats the likely time.
He will be talking about the Kokoda trip and no doubt about Stuart Dew and the rookies who will be drafting.
They had Dean Laidley on this evening. He hasnt changed, still about as exciting to listen to as Mark Vaile the ex deputy PM.
Bascially DL wimped it when asked about Edwards & Campbell saying they have a good leadership group who will decide their fate. Goodonya Deano setting the standards NOT.

Thats a BIG call :eek:
There are a couple of guys called Jeans and Kennedy who might disagree with you there.
I will say though that IMO Clarkson has the potential to be as good as those guys in the coming years.
You must remember that although things look good, Clarkson has actually done less than Schwab right now in that we only have a semi-final to our name (compared to a Prelim under Schwab). Im not saying Clarko is worse than Schwab (infintely better IMO) but until we win a flag he cannot be considered to be our best coach.

I hope you got it Phil because I was rudely interrupted half way through.
Will give you what I got.
TL = Tony Leonard & DR = Drainpipe - Dwayne Russell - 3AW.
AC = Alistair Clarkson - Hawthorn senior coach.
==============================================
The interview starts off with a replay of the Hawthorn recruiting add with John Kennedy's voice booming through the radio "Do something" and DR adding at the end "The great John Kennedy - do get your Hawthorn membership"
TL - Welcome back, how was it a 2nd time (to Kokoda)
AC - Always a challenge, those hills. Terrific 8-10 days for the players, staff and corporates that came along.
TL - In your days as a footballer a trip to Bacchus Marsh was about as far as you went for team bonding, how crucial is a trip like this to Kokoda trail?
AC - These type of experiences are fantastic. It goes beyond football. Enormous benefit for the players, the hard work but also for them to appreciate what these young men did. Stepping in the shadow of these guys.
TL - Peter Everitt put a video together of the first trip. Have you seen any noticeable changes in the 1 -2 years since that first trip from those that went?
AC - Kokoda helped define our club as a group. How fortunate our guys are to play war against opposition, a war without weapons.
**** and at this stage I leave the broadcast due to interruption :mad: :thumbsd:

Cheers Rusty as allways:thumbsu:The kokoda trail helped define our club as a group...A great idea by Clarko and co memories that our players will never forget.:thumbsu:
Clarkson mentioned McGlynn when talking about new opportunities for smaller running types, in reference to the drafting of Stokes.
Clarkson mentioned that he expected Sandilands to play next year for Box
Hill. Sounded to me like he was about to say Hawthorn, then remembered he was a rookie.
I'm guessing he might be in the box seat for the elevated rookie spot.

Clarko knows what hes saying hes probably telling the kid if he works hard then he might get elevated and it just proves again how good we are and luck to have Clarko and Pelchin getting us all these gun kids. Clako was amazing talking to the listeners he just knows so much about history and Kokoda and you can just tell hes just got this plan of us to make history winning more premierships then the others. Just listening to him makes me glad we hired him over Wallace or Eade.
