Just wondering if Eagles supporters believe these two will play regularly in '08? Or one more than the other? :)
Not sure Masten will play due to his OP situation.
Ebert should play 8-10 games on the HFF I would think, unless he does a Chris Judd and dominates from game 1.

Lets hope he does.
Hopefully both get a few games under their belt in 08.
Like BM said Mastens OP is probably going to limit his input next season.
hopefully yes realistically no.

If Mastens got OP I prefer they take it very easy with him and only play him if close to 100% fit. No point aggravating this horrible problem.
Ebert on the other hand I can see playing a fair few games, but I cant say he definitely will as I cant see into the future yet and am not on match committee. :)
What about young Selwood? Does he look like he could possibly get a game or 2 next year?
Agree with your sentiment there Fairley.
Back on topic, I would suspect Ebert may play a couple more games, because, as others have said, of the OP Masten is encountering and Ebert's body is a little bigger framed and we didn't pick up a small forward in the draft so there may well be some opportunity there.
Think both of these will be given a chance at some stage but certainly don't expect them to dominate or cement their place in the side.
i dont think either of them will be in for round 1 unless we have drastic injuries.
they're going to have to work their way through the wafl. i could see maybe 3 or 4 games for each. but who knows?

Masten's O P is a bit of a worry. Didn't Spangher have similar problems when he was first drafted and look how long it has taken him to come good ? Perhaps we should NOT expect too much of young Masten next season; treat him with care and ensure that he has no more injury problems before we think about debuting him in the Eagles team.

Josh Kennedy is the only draftee that I would expect to be ready for round 1

Dream team / Fantasy Football team research starts earlier and ealier each year :p
But to answer the question there are 3 vacant spots in the midfield this year
Judd
Cousins
R.Jones
So as long as they stay fit and perform, theres a good chance you could see them line up in a few games

Hopefully to be filled by Butler, McNamara and LeCras on a HFF with Armstrong in the FP.
We wont know until after around late Jan who is ready to go and who isnt. Guys like Ebert, J-Mac, Kennedy, Brown and co.. should all start in the NAB cup.

And Butler will take one of those spots ;)

I feel that Mckinley is likey to play more games as he has a bigger body and he plays well as Midfield/HF
