What do you reckon?

I've gone Nimrod for sentimental reasons.

Insomniac a close second, followed by 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours.

'Dookie' for me, the consistency & depth of the material on it puts it in front of the other albums. The others do have a couple of killer tracks but in my opinion are surrounded with some filler, 'Dookie' is packed full of the good stuff !!

I like 'International Superhits' but that is a greatest hits type thing so it obviously doesn't count.

I'll have to go with Nimrod.

If you listen to 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours then Dookie it's like listening to two different bands. 1,039 is more power pop where as Dookie is a lot more abrasive. On saying this, When I Come Around has been firmly ensconsed in my Top 110 of All Time since it came out. Basket Case and Welcome To Paradise are also big favourites.

Nimrod is a lot more polished and the use of strings etc. is really good. Redundant and Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) hold great sentimental value for me.

Dookie - despite all the bagging Green Day get in time that album will be regarded as a pop-punk classic. Hardly has a bad track and has some awesome tracks.

Nimrod is also good, the others have too many weak tracks.

] I would really hope you guys have actually listenend to Kerplunk before you choose your fav ... " christie road " ... " 2,000 light years " " dominated love slave " ..???? I have a sneaking suspicion that you have given it scant recognition ... altyhough if the truth be known the majority of Green Day songs are dirivitives of " the Jam " songs ....

Kerplunk is probably my least fave but 2000 Light Years is great.

Bragg, can't speak for anyone else but I've listened to all albums in the poll many many many times so I feel comfortable with my decision !!
