Was chatting with a friend the other day about our first ever football game which turned to the first ever Crows game. I remember in 2001 my ma shipping me off to my first game with a pack of fruitingle mini packs. Now every game i go to i buy a pack, its a tradition more than superstition. My mate was saying whenever he wears AFC colours to away games they lose, so he never wears the colours... anyone else got any traditions or superstitions??

Pretty much the first game I attend nothing, but if they win I wear the exact same everything the next game I go to. They lose I change it all up. I thought I was on to a winning combination in 2006 but was crushing in the preliminary final. I even refused to roll my sleeves up that day despite feeling quite hot, just because I wanted to be exactly the same as I was two weeks before vs. Fremantle.
Pathetic really.

I've got a few a couple like the ones already posted like i never wear the colours on match day and i wear the same thing i wore the previous week if we won that week but one that i have that's bit strange is before the match starts i play my AFL Premiership PS2 game with the exact teams and at the same place with the same conditions and i have to finish the match before the actual match starts :D

not much really, just wear the same jeans, jocks, and socks
and if i'm watching at home, i have to sit on the same chair, otherwise we start losing

2 things
always wear the same t-shirt to the footy
if at home watching - and we badly need a goal - I go for a leak - and we always score.....:D:thumbsu: This is based on the premise of Murphy's Law

When I'm watching the boys at home, the garage out the back has to be up at all times and when I'm sitting on the couch I have to always be sitting next to the green cushion. Volume also has to be on level 20. :)
Hahaha.
Never wear underwear to the footy and have a bat in the morning.

every season i buy a dog - if we lose i cook & eat the dog and buy a new one for the next week.
Any dog that wins us the premiership is put out to stud.

I always wear my guernsey with nothing under it. If it gets cold I put a jumper over, even if that means I'm not showing the colours. A shirt or jumper underneath ruins it.
If anyone comments on what they think the result is going to be, before or during the game, "I think we are going to win/lose", I kill them.

3 Victorian umpires normally makes me cringe then losing the toss when a gale is blowing is usually a precursor for a hammerin'.
Kung Fu I hate it too when they score the first two goals and the missus goes..."Aw we are gonna get thrashed"
I don't do anyting too over the top, always have to be wearing my guernsey, crows bracelets/wristbands..although thats more just habbit.

During the Prelim final in 2005 the whole family was watching the game. After three quater time they gave up and left the room. I started spitting chips and threw a pillow at the TV...only moments later we scored a goal.
That cushion stayed there for the rest of the game.
Watching the Crows in the finals is the most stressful thing ever. Threw a bloody 2 litre bottle of water at the ground when Franklin kicked that goal this year. Was a bit wet afterwards
I was shattered

Eugh that Hawthorn final ripped my heart out. It looked like we were going to pull away and do something similar to what we did at AAMI but in true red clash guernsey fashion we stopped dead for a large portion of the game and let the opposition take hold.
My main superstition is that I must buy Hungry Jack's every time I go to the footy. Oddly enough it has a 100% success rate so far. Every game at home that we won, I bought HJ's. Every game we lost, I didn't. Total coincidence sure but it gives FD88 an excuse to buy junk food every week.

Nothing too serious here, almost always wear my Crows guernsey to the matches, had a necklass that i wore a few years back and i think for the first 5 matches of the season when i wore it we won, if i didn't we lost, I even got my dad who flew over to melbourne a day later to bring it for an Essendon match because I had forgotten it. It failed though in that match, so i don't think i wore it much again.
Also, less to do with the outcome but still similar tend to like to watch the footy on my own, maybe with family, otherwise i tend to be very quiet, went with a friend up here to the brisbane match this year and she couldn't believe how quiet i was, she wanted to see me act like a yobbo like everyone else, eg swearing, screaming my lungs out etc, but i only tend to do that when i'm alone.
Also have to watch till the end, because miracles can happen, never leave half way through the last quarter or something.
