Blair Hartley said: "Jordan has come along well. He played in the U18 National Championships for NSW/ACT and he played really well in that. He did three to four weeks of training with us last year as well, so we've seen a fair bit of him. He's certainly impressed us with his work ethic and he's settling in really well."

Play with Jordan in the local comp here in Broken Hill good player and a nice lad, brother Dylan is around my age and was super quick for a 6 foot 3" guy. Dylan had a bit of mongrel to him and loved a stoush.

Can remember Dylan pulling on a seasoned player of 28 when he was only 17-18 in the middle of a ruck duel nice guy but loves a donnybrook. Jordan has great skills and just as much athletism.

Father was a champion for the South Football club 6 foot 5" CHF play anywhere. Made the team of the century for the South Roos and from memory for the league as well.

Jord wont be playing A-grade down here for the next three weeks as he has been picked for the national side which plays a curtain raiser for the AFL at some point, sorry cant remember which game. He flys out saturday. Has already been in the best players in A's a couple times already this season.

Hope this helps out Jakko

No problems mate. Also forgot to tell you Jordan, myself and a few of the lads have been selected in the intial training squad of 32 to play at AAMI Stadium on the 21st June as a curtain raiser to the Port V Rich game. Broken Hill V Womera District for the Miners Cup. I'll give you an update to let you known if Jordan makes it into the final team as it would proberly be a good oppourtunity to see jord in action.

Well done yourself on making the squad.

I plan to get to the game earlier and at least catch the second half of the curtain raiser. :thumbsu:

Thanks mate however I'm not sure a broken down old fullback is worthy of AAMI stadium but I'll sure try my best. :p

Small quick who looks to be suited to either mid to forward. very quick for a little fella who shows good athletic qualities younger then Jordan but still plays A-grade down here predominatly in the forward lines.

PS blew my knee this weekend and wont be going to AAMI :(

Yeah looks like a droped passionfruit at the moment, looks to be ligaments as the Dr said but wont know alot til the Ortho has a gander. Knee went sidewards foot stayed planted so you can bet I gave the ACL a scare if not a tear. Time to give the game away anyhow love it but dont get paid any $$$ and work isnt overly understanding when it comes to time off. I'll have to resign myself to pretending I was a gun and seeing if anyone is silly enough to believe me. :thumbsu:

Nah he did play...I thought it might have been the U18 game at Adelaide Oval but he played in the Miners Cup match.

Only saw the last quarter but he played on a wing and had about 3 kicks, 2 marks and a tackle. Kicked a lovely goal from about 40m out against the wind with seconds remaining to give Broken Hill a chance to win.

Looks a lot like Bentley in how he moves but probably quicker. Hard to judge as hes so young but he held his own against some older opposition.

Looks a good height though. Will need to stack on the weight though....looks like he weighs about 50kg.

He didnt have a very good game vs SA. He seems to like to take players on (got caught holding the ball at one point) which is good.

Would love to see him grow a couple of inches.

He would be at the age of finishing Y12 - if there is still potential, perhaps he would move here for the full pre-season after exams.

Was just thumbing through the 2010 Prospectus. His junior numbers are awful with a sizeable plummet in kicking efficiency when stepping up from TAC Cup to the U18 Nats.

At this point playing SANFL seniors would be a super achievement.

Jordan Johns (Panthers reserves vs Double Blues)
His first week back after an injury, he played a half a game across the back flank. He read the play well, pushing across to assist his team mates and dropping off his direct opponent. He picked up plenty of possessions and will improve his kicking efficiency with more games under his belt.http://www.portadelaidefc.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/6038/newsid/97167/default.aspx

I do like what I see from Jordan in glimpses, he just needs to work on his body and becoming consistant. I think he has a future but he may be 2-3 years away, I would re rookie him again next year, Not sure if Danny Meyer and Daniel Webb can be retained on the rookie list, but if they can not, I would deffinatly look at a second year for JJ!

*Bass is a must for the next 4 years, give him 5 years on our list, wether it be rookied or Senior listed. Has the body, needs to learn the game!

Definately keep Jordan.

Heard a saying yesterday that goes around North Ballarat.

'The Crows got Taylor Walker, Port got the Good one in Johns'

Fingers crossed we keep him.

Totally agree about the others btw, would like to keep Meyer, Bass and Webb on our lists to be honest.

If Webb and Meyer can not be rerookied, due to there age, Jordan stays, if we can rookie Meyer and Webb again, Jordan is shown the door unfortunatly. I would have Webb and Meyer on the list before M.Westhoff and Harding. We need Meyer and Webb for depth, but we need more rookies to see if we can uncover a few gems! Jordan is so/so as of 2010.
