The initial Port selections for the All-Australian team.....

Port Adelaide: Peter Burgoyne, Josh Francou, Damien Hardwick, Adam Kingsley, Brett Montgomery, Matthew Primus, Warren Tredrea, Darryl Wakelin

Why does Adam Kingsley keep getting named? Am I missing something by watching the games on TV? Is he truly our saviour, in this, our strongest year?

I don't think he's bad, but he'd be a chance for the Brownlow the way people keep rating him...

Is this the face of this year's Norm Smith Medallist?

He hasn't had a bad year, provided he hasn't been deep in the backline.

His delivery to Peter Burgoyne and Che in the 1st quarter last week was excellent.

It's when he is in a marking contest or trying to find a player in traffic and not on a super fast lead that he has trouble.

Nah, but it could be the hair. Notice how it's flowing back as if he's in motion? The AA selectors, always watching from on high, probably think he's moving forward quickly when he's just standing there. They can't believe his aerobic capacity! They want that in the side against Ireland.

When running through the midfield he has been excellent.
The Crows game and even last week were really good to watch.
When he is last man in defence.......well..........
not sure how to put it.
Through the midfield different story.
He must have gotten more then a few votes, but cannot win the Brownlow as he has dark hair.:)

He does all the 1%'ers that you dont get to see on TV. ;)

Obviously the AA selectors can't see what a few opposition coaches do by ensuring his opponent keeps him deep in the back lines where he can do his most damage for us........

but he has been playing well up the ground........might be even better when Hardwick and Wilson are in the side and he can play more up field........

Played very well recently. Delivery to the forwards was great on Saturday. Won't get the Brownlow because acts a tad too much!

Well done Monty - he has been magnificent so far this year.
non-selection may motivate a few to improve for the rest of the season (hopefully).
Schoey unlucky.

Nod, I agree that Scoey is desperately unlucky!

Well Porthos you must have been at the bar at Footy Park when theis debate was raging. A few wonder if Kingsley would ever get back to his best, others thought he was better than ever.

My 2c worth is that I was surprised to read the stats see how much he was in the game, and then seeing the replay approciating a lot of things that were not all that flash but very effective.

Thing was when there was a turnover and he's a few yards off his man the blokes next to me spit it and scream at him to mark up. So I suppose he's noticed more on those occasions.

His last couple of games have been ok....and he had those two good game early in the year but other than that he has been very very average. How he can be mentioned for AA selection and not Nick Stevens is very queer indeed.

As i said before....if he makes AA ill do backflips around the MCG naked.
